Always excellent! This is a favorite of ours!
My new favorite on 30a. We own a condo in the building and I had been once when first open but had never been back and went last night (12/1/23) and IT WAS AMAZING. Finnegan at the bar was outstanding with cocktails and the service superb. Great recommendations from Finnegan for food. We ate at the bar and I literally woke up middle of the night wanting to eat my leftover crab cake pasta dish. I will absolutely be a regular.
The food was good. Unfortunately, you have to stand in line to order your food and this is not an inexpensive restaurant. You’re paying top dollar for that food even though it’s good it’s like you’re in a cafeteria. Then after you order your food then you’re supposed to go and pick out a table and you don’t know if there’s enough room for you and your guests. Lola by Chef Tom offers genuine Italian food in a relaxing, clean, and romantic atmosphere with low light. The service is excellent, friendly, attentive, and accommodating, with personable staff. While the menu can seem small with basic options and service sometimes feels slow, the food quality is very good. Standout dishes include the amazing chicken piccata, divine pesto shrimp linguine, delicious lasagna, fabulous pizzas, and very good smoked goat cheese appetizer, crab cake, and cocktails. The goat cheese is repeatedly highlighted as a must-try. Some items receive mixed feedback: the Caesar salad is not recommended, the pesto can be dry, and the peel & eat shrimp were dry and rubbery. The restaurant can have a long wait, especially during busy seasons, but the food comes out swiftly. It is considered some of the best homemade Italian food, making it a worthwhile choice in the area.
