We stopped by to buy some Italian cookies to bring to a family dinner, but instead we were pleasantly surprised to be able to have fresh cannoli hand made for us by the “Sweet Princess” of Amore. We said we had cash, they then said it could be a long wait before we would be served as kitchen also relied on the computer. We took our chances went in and waited, eventually had a great meal ! Perseverance is omnipotent , from a mixed race party.“

“Well for starters the escargot, raw oysters, and oysters Rockefeller were out of this world. Both the red and white clam chowder were like perfection in a bowl. My entrée was the baked stuffed shrimp and hands down AMAZING. Our waitress was YO and she knew everything about the history of the restaurant to the menu. I was very interested in the collection of oyster shells on the walls and she explained that as well. TEN STARS !!! I recommend to anyone who loves fresh seafood and visits Sanibel Island.“

“Absolutely the best Italian food we have had in all of Southwest Florida in the 23 years we have lived here. I can’t believe that it’s taken us this long to come here. Being from New Jersey, we are pretty picky about our Italian food. This restaurant is absolutely incredible. We even took a dessert to go home, because we were too full from the main course to eat it there. You will not be disappointed with anything you pick from the menu. It is absolutely delicious. Everything tastes like your Italian grandma just cooked it. Do yourself a favor. Don’t wait 20 years like I did. Just go.“
