“I’m from out of town and stay in the Baymeadows area for 2 extended periods during the calendar year. Metro Diner Southside has been my go-to breakfast stop for the past 6 years. The staff is so much fun to deal with, and it’s flattering to know that they recognize me whenever I stop in. The usual fare for me is standard food (omelettes/fried egg, meat, hash browns, toast); however, today’s choice was the pork chop & eggs special. Thoughts? This needs to be placed on the regular menu. Wow! The pork chop was “over-the-top” delicious and was a perfect match with the other items on my plate (OE eggs/HBs/biscuit). I’m hoping (praying?) that this dish stays on the specials list through this weekend! Special shoutouts to my 3 favorite servers (Rachel, Jacklyn, & Monica-all in a tie for 1st place) and to today’s greeter (whose name I can’t recall and apologize for that). All of them are friendly, efficient, and lots of fun to chat with. Keep up the great work. See y’all over the weekend!“

“Beach Diner is one of my go-to breakfast spots.
Each time my husband and I go, we are never disappointed!
The staff is amazing! They each are on top of their game and seldom is there ever a long wait to be greeted, seated, or served. If there happens to be a wait, they are spot on as far as the wait time, too!
The presentation of food is always beautiful… even if ‘just a sandwich!’ The condiments always seem to be full. Straws are already on the tables! Drinks are filled super quickly!
The restaurant is always clean… both inside and outside seating. The bathrooms have always been clean when needed!
The decor is cute — as one may assume— beach themed!
I sincerely have NOTHING remotely negative to say about this restaurant! They are all truly amazing here! I need to go try the two other locations!“

“Love this place! We go five days a week for breakfast. They have amazing servers a wonderful owner and the food is perfect. Very fresh eggs homemade biscuits and I’ve never had service without a smile! By far my vote for the best breakfast in Jacksonville if you want a nice diner home-cooked meal feel! We have literally stopped going to other places for breakfast and only come here. Ask for Bailey I promise you won’t be disappointed.!“

“Usually when you go into a Metro diner it is really loud in there. The one that we went to was not. It was really surprising. It had a ceiling instead of being open so it was much quieter than normal. The food was really good I had the Philly cheesesteak and my wife had chicken fingers. She asked for mashed potatoes and gravy instead of fries and it was no problem. They gave it to her everything that we had was really good and would definitely go back to this one again“
