I was Absolutely Impressed on the Atmosphere, the Staff and of course the Food!
They were a little empty when I arrived, but a few more customers trickled in throughout my dining experience, my server David took special care to make sure all of my questions were answered and I was full when I left.
As per usual, the Chips & Salsa came out Complimentary along with a special smokey flavor hot sauce which was a great addition to my Chicken Tortilla Soup and the Burrito Combo for ONLY $12
Of Course I got the Al Pastor (My Favorite) Taco Plate the comes with Refried Beans and Mexican Rice for only $13 and everything was flavored as it should be. I would've liked a little more grilled pineapple for my Tacos, but they were still stuffed and delicious!
They Currently Offer 3 Locations within the 904 area, so stop By one of their Restaurants and If You stop at St Johns, ask for David and Let them know Big Rich Sent Ya 😊☝️

This was such a beautiful restaurant, both inside and outside seating. A fun atmosphere. My drink was huge and delicious. I had the taco salad. The meat just tasted weird. Not that it was “bad” but just didn’t taste good. I would go here again and try something else.

They have beautiful decor and lamps made in Mexico. I had a few appetizers, small shrimp taco, and another one, chips and salsa. I did not care too much for the salsa. Then on to a pork taco, a chorizo taco with some refried beans and rice. The owners are a young husband and wife duo. They had a singer there. She was very good. Lovely voice. A friend of mine got up there and sang. I was surprised and impressed. He did a great job. I had a margarita and another drink-very good!

If you’re looking for tiny portions of flavorless food served with a side of attitude, look no further. Pepper’s has it all! Every dish somehow tastes the same.
Staff treats the parking lot like it’s their personal hangout. I honestly don’t know how people living in the nearby buildings tolerate that constant noise. I happened to pass by around midnight and they were out there making a ton of noise with some kind of drilling. Maybe save that for daytime hours when your guests are actually there to enjoy it?

I have really grown to love this place. The atmosphere is great, the food is quality, and the drinks are also great. The steak fajitas are way more flavorful than any other restaurant we normally go to. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and super tasty. I love having this place close by.

I went to Pepper's for the first time today to take my father out for a birthday lunch. The service was incredible, and David did a great job taking care of us! The lunch prices are very affordable for the amount of food you get. Neither of us could finish... my dad had a steak burrito, and I had a chimichanga... both came with rice and beans, guacamole, etc. We also had 2 for 1 margaritas, which were quite tasty. Not many people in the restaurant just before 2 pm, and I was surprised that a manager never stopped by to check on us... perhaps David should be the manager, very attentive and patient! Will return again!

Small expensive portions and wasnt that great. Also, small Margaritas at $10 each not what a Mexican Restaurant traditionally offers.

My wife & I absolutely love Pepper’s Cocina in St. John’s Co.! We go fairly frequently and it is always extremely consistent. We have also been to the Fernandina location and love it as well.
I have noticed a few negative reviews that have not been very happy with the food. I understand that everyone’s sense of taste is not the same but we love Pepper’s compared to other Mexican restaurants. The service personnel and the food have always been exceptional.
Food is just not good. No seasoning on the food. I’ve been on a few occasions and they just don’t season their food. The salsa is the only thing helping
