“Cecelia’s Sweets and Vampire Penguin is a family owned and operated desert and snack store located just off of Central Avenue in St. Petersburg with another Vampire Penguin location in Seminole, Florida. Their award winning shaved snow is unlike anything we’ve ever had before and we were already fans of the Vampire Penguin in Seminole before we tried their downtown St. Pete location!We were greeted by a very sweet young lady as well as Cecelia’s daughter and we’re excited to find that this location offered some additional items like house-made freeze dried candy, gourmet popcorn, cookies, delicious premium ice cream in a cup, cone or waffle cone, soft drinks, floats, warm pretzels, and even non-dairy and low sugar options on their small sized snow desserts! The restaurant is super cute with bright decor, friendly service, bar style seating and even a water bowl for your fur kids just outside the door! They have a cute Instagramable wall and the bathroom was well kept and clean.We ordered a warm salted Pretzel with their honey mustard dip which was delicious! I ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream in a cone and my husband ordered the stunning Polar Affogato - Coffee and Vanilla flavored snow, surrounded by Chocolate Brownie chunks, drizzled in Chocolate sauce and topped with fresh Whipped Cream dusted with Coco Powder. It was mind blowing!We will 100% be returning to Cecilia’s for the wonderful treats and fabulous customer service! Next time, I hope to bring my fur kid for their Bow Wow Wow canine friendly snow made of fruit snow and drizzled with Peanut Butter sauce.“

“My mom recommended Craft Kafe to try while we visited St. Pete and glad we came here! My boyfriend and I just got the basic Craft breakfast sandwich and Iced Chai lattes. “The new cinnamon rolls are really good. I mean REALLY good. I am not a sweets person, but I do like an occasional treat every now and then that is not sugary sweet. The cinnamon rolls are sweet, but the sweetness is balanced perfectly with the savory and rich strong butter flavor. The cinnamon taste is not overwhelming. The dough itself is fluffy and layered almost like a croissant. Normal cinnamon roll dough can be thick and tough. It wasn't like that at all. Great treat and perfect recipe! “This place is a collection of piled up junk, a bloated menu, and dust balls in every corner...and it's exactly what we want on the Guilf strip. Unlike every other cafe on the road that is drowned out by its muted grays and wannabe Crate and Barrel decor, this place is unique. Though they could use a thorough sweep through to fix things (ie don't sit under the first awning bc it's about to collapse and kill someone) it's an enjoyable place.Skip the sandwich options - there is zero flavor in any of them - but dive into their baked goods. All drinks get a solid thumbs up.Parking is ample but the locals sometimes take spots that they shouldn't so consider walking if you can.Service is hit or miss; sometimes they're nice, other times they're walking zombies. I wish they were more engaged with customers to solidify that local "small business" vibe.Overall, I recommend this cafe over any other on the strip!“

“I love Black Crow. When I moved here from Seattle a while back, before there were 10,000 coffee shops in St Pete, this is one of the first places that felt like "home" to me. “HaleLifes customer service is amazing! I had stopped by a few weeks back to get a donut and had an awful stomach reaction, which is no one’s fault. I emailed them a few days ago and the Head Chef emailed me back regarding that experience and we have now sent multiple emails back and forth discussing ideas on how to pinpoint what I may have had a reaction to, since I’m typically sensitive to gluten and dairy. It is always super busy (because it's that good) but the line moves super fast with friendly service! This bakery has a few seats inside and a couple of benches outside and is very clean.
