Hollerbach's German Market

I visited early in the morning and loved how calm the store felt. Fresh bread was being stocked, coffee was brewing nearby, and the whole place had a welcoming atmosphere to start the day.

My husband and I tried out a bunch of the baked goods here, AMAZING. The service was really friendly and the shop is adorable. I cant wait to go back and try more!

I love the market. It is great to have a store where you can find so many german grocery items. They also carry Schaller & Weber coldcuts and sausages, including Fleischkaese, frozen, that you can bake at home. Breads and bakery items are also available. And you can order food and eat it there. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but you would expect that, since everything has to be imported. I stop by there anytime I am in Orlando. Definitely recommend it if you are looking for authentic german things.

Great place to eat a quick lunch,store is always stocked with fresh meat and variety of cheese, German candy and chocolates, one of my favorite places to eat and visit in Downtown Sanford

Kids love coming for the candy selection.

I ordered the meatloaf with red cabbage and Jesus Christ!!!..that thing was swimming in vinegar the only flavor that could enjoy was the vinegar, horrible experience, after the dinner I had to go and test my Ph because the acidity was horrendous...I could be back but stay away from the vinegar soup with meatloaf

To the Owners of Hollerbachs,
I have been shopping at Hollerbachs for years. Never have I received such poor service. I came all the way from Palm Bay, Fl to get German foods. The the chocolate guy behind the counter had me wait for 20 mins, he worked in such a slow and very lazy way. He looked very annoyed. There was a total.of 4 guys behind the cheese, meat and cake counters. There was only one lady in there being served some salads. After all the waiting he told a young dude to serve me. The young dude did a good job and even got me a huge bag of ice. He even had to run across the street to go get some Mettwurst. Which I bought over 2lbs worth. But the whole atmosphere in the store was not as it used to be. The German ambiance was just not there anymore. No vibes. No dirndls.
But the shock came at the register. I had been asked to pay a tip. Why? What the heck? So I buy very expensive groceries, and I am asked to give either $8, $16 or $24 tip. I said No. I could not afford that, but let me ask you, why do we now get asked to pay a tip to buy groceries? So when I said No, the cashier lady who seemed super annoyed just said whatever.!
Repeated it once more. So rude. She looked and acted like she hated being at her job. I was very upset and instead of going next door to eat, I went to my car dried my tears and drove straight back home. That was it for me. You guys lost yourselves a good customer plus major support in the German group on Facebook.
So many years it used to always be the best time a Month to do a day trip to Hollerbachs.

We are living in such a sad world.
I am married to a chocolate man and the word black was not meant as a racial thing. You guys lost many customers with me included. Also the size of the Mettwurst from a few years ago to now, show serious shrinkflation. I will be posting photos shortly. Pay more get less.
Also I find it very rude to ask for a tip at a grocery store. It is taking advantage of our tourism. I make sure to let folks know that tips should only be given when receiving table service.
You guys should just pay your workers so that they do not need to be tipped. And I should have taken a photo of the tip screen. I am not senile. I know what I saw. Dishonesty all the way. You are no different than any other business. Sadly.
May, 17,2018 the 2 first Photos of a Mettwurst, which I always bought. The last photo of the shrunken thin Metttwursts I bought yesterday.
So Wassi's got themselves new customers. At least there the Mettwursts and other wursts look fat and yummy.
Went jemand Fragen hat ūber Hollerbachs, können sie mich genre hier anaxgreiben. Man braucht aud keinen Fall Trunk Geld zu bezahlen um da einzukaufen. Jeder Tourist sollynd muss aufpassen dass sie night so locker abfezockt warden. Die Preise in Hollerbachs sind voel zu hoch und alles ist sehr sehr teuer.

Flavor was decent. The amount of meat on the Reuben sandwich was insultingly small. They also were out of sauerkraut, so we had to buy our own off their shelves to make our Reuben. Would not bother to come back.
