This used to be one of our favorite places. It has gone downhill bad. Called the day before since we were going to be a large party of 8. Waited over 30 mins for 2 orders of edamame. sushi came out fast but half the party that did not order sushi waited an hour for their food to come out cold. Those that had sushi were done before the rest of the food came out. Over an hour wait for their food. The soup entrée order came even later than the cold chicken hibachi orders and kids meal. The only thing hot was the kids rice. Pretty sad service. Discount on a $300 bill was $28. Then we were told the tip was NOT included however it was. The waitress acted like she had no idea. Tables were getting up and leaving because no one was waiting on them. Will not be going back.

We absolutely loved eating here!!! The service was fantastic and the food was even better!! Best onion soup of anywhere we have tried, the sushi was soooo delicious, and my husband really liked the hibachi!! I highly recommend this little restaurant!!

If anyone thinks this place is good doesn’t know anything about sushi, or food or service. The chicken was barely cooked, the soup was cold and tasted horrible. The tartare tasted bad also. Besides been over priced. Don’t come here just don’t. Go to Mikado in Lake Mary and you will see the difference. I wanted to try this place because Mikado was closed . But I would never come back here nor recommend it. Not even the mochi ice cream is good here.

Ok I don't know how to convince you.. this is by far best sushi I've had in my life. Been coming 6yrs and never ever been disappointed...you just have to try this hidden gem. I can go on enough...just perfection ?

We love Maru. They have so many good ideas for their rolls and the food is just so well made. I haven’t had a single meal there that was less than excellent. It’s also just a comfortable place…some restaurants just welcome a slower pace and this is a cozy spot.
