Went on a late Sunday fun day to Sanford. Stumbled to this gem of a bar at the end of Henry’s Depot. The true highlight of our experience was our bar tending team, Cami and Jason elevated our night, came in for just one drink, but the best drinks Sanford has to offer kept our butts on seats. Come ready to have drinks and laughs.

You can no call no show, fall asleep behind the bar, get too drunk to work while on the clock, or even leave during your shift for hours and just show back up! God forbid you actually be good at your job though, that will get you fired. They just fired my favorite bartender here for no good reason. The one responsible for going above and beyond countless times to pickup other employees slack. Oh yeah did I mention she’s 5 months pregnant too? Which is realistically probably why they actually fired her, absolutely scummy thing to do. Myself and the many people who came just to see her will never be back, hope you’re happy Basin!

Disappointing Experience Due to Rude Bartender
I was really excited to visit Sanford with a girlfriend of mine to celebrate a new job opportunity. We loved the setup, the vibe, and the overall space—it felt like the perfect spot to enjoy a great evening. As someone with over 6,000 followers on social media, I enjoy sharing cool experiences and places, and this one started off feeling like a hidden gem.
Unfortunately, things took a turn when we went to order another drink at the bar. I noticed a display of toothpicks with little mustaches on them—cute and quirky, perfect for a photo or shout-out. I picked one up, thinking it was part of the décor or a fun garnish. Without any warning or polite correction, the bartender, Megan, abruptly walked up, snatched it from my hand, rolled her eyes, and said, “Don’t touch my things,” before throwing it in the trash. The male bartender nearby looked stunned and didn’t even know how to respond.
Before we could shake off the shock, Megan returned and began verbally attacking me and my friend. She belittled us over a harmless mustache toothpick and acted completely unprofessional. I’ve never been treated with such blatant disrespect, especially while being a paying customer trying to support a local business.
The space has potential, but management seriously needs to reconsider who they put behind the bar. I would’ve loved to promote this place online, but due to this awful interaction, I can’t recommend it. Great atmosphere terrible service from a bartender who clearly needs a reality check. If I could give the bar service zero stars, I would.

I got to the bat at 6:55, happy hour ended at 7. The bartender stayed talking to other customers until 7pm, I ordered at 7pm on the dot and she told me sorry happy hour is over, it's full price. Annoying, but whatever. The next time I went up, I waited almost 5 mins again while she talked to other people, I finally left, went to the bathroom, came back, she was still talking, but finally ordered. Then trying to cash out, same story, just waiting while she talked. Very annoying. It was my first, and last, time here. The bar was never crowded enough for the wait times....
