Doc Ford's Rum Bar & Grille

Had lunch there today. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Our server Nick was very professional. I was impressed. My first trip to Doc Ford's.

What an awesome find!! Loved the food here, their Yukatan Shrimp, mozarella salad, bean dip, lobster roll sandwich, chicken tostadas, were all delish..
grouper fish not a big fan, neither the chicken grill sandwich. Rest everything was so fresh and we enjoyed having lunch here. Biggest Gluten free menu ever seen for our special friend who can only have gluten free… Our hostess was super nice! Thank you for the amazing lunch ??

Our server, Flavio, was great- seemed happy to be at work, knowledgeable of menu and special, and offered his favs, which didn’t disappoint! Yucatán Shrimp (house special) is a must have- I can’t recall ever having a more delicious starter or shrimp dish! So flavorful and seasoned perfectly, though I’d not had it before, I can’t imagine it gets any better! The grouper special with Jerk-blackened spices and cilantro rice was superb, again a flavor bomb! The macadamia nut-crusted grouper was very good itself, but the rice-quinoa side didn’t match up to the well-seasoned fish. The coconut sauce was too sweet, though the server advised as much. Cool story- locally owned by best selling author, so the Doc Ford character is theme here.

First off, the crab stuffed grouper with lobster sauce was excellent. Fresh and tasty.
The atmosphere is alright. Nothing to write home about. But good for families.
Service, was just okay. When ordering the special , the waitress stated it was $26.99. Upon receiving the bill is was $10 higher. Thankfully the manger was understanding and lowered it to the correct price.
Waitress was nice but didn’t seem enthusiastic about her job.
The cheesesteak was awful. The meat was slightly burnt, and the fries were undercooked. My family member didn’t even eat half her plate.
Thankfully the drinks were good, and the special we ordered was very nice.
A good place for families to get a decent meal with the exception of a few items listed.

This is our must go to when on the island. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. But of course get fish! Our waitress Jessica on our recent visit was great too!

Really great food, nice atmosphere, and really close to the beach. We went in the late afternoon, so we got right in. The staff was friendly and service was great.

Parking: Parking was easy and abundant!

Kid-friendliness: They have a kid menu, but are not a restaurant that really caters to kids. Good for parents who want a nice meals and need to bring their kids along.
