Amazing! We were on Sanibel for a family vacation for a week. I swear we went 5 times! We brought all our visitors as well. The orange crunch cake custard mix was amazing! Velvet cake custard was awesome as well!

We visited Joey's Custard while on vacation in June. It was clear it is an island favorite given the line and energy! The line moved fast, the variety of options was incredible, and their staff so friendly! The shop is adorable with awesome merchandise too! We all got something different but it was delicious! I really loved how so many of their Custard and scooped ice cream treats were named after sea shells (Lightning welk was my favorite)! Definitely worth multiple visits next time!

Joey's is an amazing family ice cream shop on Sanibel, in the Bailey's Shopping Plaza. The flavours are amazing, mixing traditional with Sanibel Specialties ( like The Bubble Room's red velvet and Orange cake ) with straight up awesome flavours like Exhausted Parent and Bourbon Pecan Pie ( delicious together, btw ). There is candy and treats and all kinds of good extras. The staff is always smiling and enthusiastic, the happiest teenagers you have ever met. You can pin where you are from on their map or play the ring game out front...just a really lovely way to enjoy some family time.

The custard is so good that my hubby and friends would go there often twice a day on bikes. They would try something new each time and were never disappointed, sometimes getting the same thing they got before. The staff were always friendly and very efficient. The custard was great, the variety was great and the prices were good. We LOVED the Chrisian atmosphere, and family friendly environment. It really was one of our favorite places to go on Sanibel.

We popped into Joey’s Custard today after a day on Bowman’s Beach. The selection of custard & hard scoop ice cream is amazing! The do a huge range of sundaes, cones and desserts with a bazillion toppings to choose from. I opted for a Hurricane sundae with Ley Lime custard & strawberries whilst my hubby had pistachio hard scoop. We’ve been visiting Sanibel for over 20 years but this wax our first visit to Joey’s. It certainly won’t be our last.

This was our second time getting ice cream at this location the servers are always super friendly and the selection is unsurpassed on the island.
What a sweet place! Literally! Greeted by friendly staff and delightful music! Enjoyed Cherry Berry Extraordinary custard! Yummy! Great games outside for adults and kids! Wonderful distraction from pouring rain! We sat in ice cream chairs! :)

Let me just say first of all I have heard several good reviews, I have also worked on the island for 30 years and I’ve never been there. I work at a different restaurant and frequently tell people to go there due to their great reputation. I finally went today, oh my goodness it was great! , the variety and selections of everything was overwhelming. Unfortunately I am gluten-free, and they had so many options it was awesome! I absolutely have to mention Hudson! A young energetic man, super friendly and what an asset to the shop! Kudos to everyone that makes you the best! Now I get it!!! I will definitely be back often, maybe once a week… My butt might not like it… But my goodness, is is well worth it!

We have been to Joeys for the last 10years(apart from covid break for last 2 being from UK) and we absolutely love it and coming back in 2022 it is just as good as ever. Excellent quality and so much choice, this will not be our only visit

This was the best ice cream/custard I’ve ever had. The custard blends are the bomb. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean inside. They have something for everyone, non-dairy too.
