Crammed away in a little strp mall. This was a busy place. The food was not close to exceptional. It is a Sysco supplied restaurant. I had a skillet breakfast that contained Canned mushrooms and pre-cut veggies. Ordered the orange cinnamon roll and it was with Canned mandarin oranges -- and we are in Florida - where oranges are raised.!! The sourdough toast came out of a plastic bag. I saw it. Not even from a local bakery. But there are thousands of place just like this. Should of cooked in the condo.

Put this adorable spot on your list immediately! This just screamed Sanibel Island to us...cute little boutique shops spread out amongst the deck area. Yes, you will probably have to wait for a table (worth every minute of wait time) but they'll give you a buzzer so you can walk around and browse the cute boutiques. Don't miss the surf shop towards the back - adorable things and owner is the best! Indoor/outdoor seating - you can't go wrong with either. Loved the atmosphere here! Friendliest staff ever! Service was exceptional...quick, efficient, helpful and just a pleasure to be around. The menu is extensive! Pretty much has anything and everything you would wish for. The fresh squeezed OJ is a must! We had an assortment of things...eggs, ham, blueberry and pecan pancakes. I am still dreaming of the pecan pancakes! They are out of this world! And price point was extremely reasonable. We came here on our last day as we were leaving the island (sadly) because we would've come here every day had it been our first day. Don't walk...run to this heavenly spot! You won't regret it!

It was so good, we went back the next morning! The Over Easy Cafe was one of the food highlights of our trip to Sanibel Island. The staff greeted with warm smiles and ready service. A cute touch was the use of Tervis cups for the beverages. I ordered the special on the first visit which was the avocado BLT omelet and oh my goodness, it was DELICIOUS. I ordered my breakfast potatoes super crispy with the homemade biscuit on the side. My boyfriend ordered the meat lover's omelet both mornings, once with grits and once with potatoes. He enjoyed both equally. This location will be moving during June, but will reopen in July. We will absolutely return!!

What a pleasure to start the day with a breakfast in the OE-Café. The most cheerful, friendly and nice people on the island definitely work at Over Easy Café! Breakfast is simply great and there is a balance between lighter and less lighter food. You can sit inside or outside. Both variants are cozy and nicely designed. A Sanibel visit without breakfast at the Over Easy Café is unthinkable. Many thanks to the entire, uniquely friendly team ☺️

With such great reviews, Over Easy unfortunately was a disappointment. Much of it had to do with our server. We ordered the orange roll and asked to have it served as soon as it came up. He failed to do so, hence when reminded it was cold. Eggs ordered over medium came undercooked. Asked three times for an extra napkin, failed to receive any. So, maybe with a better different server, our experience would have been better and we’d consider returning.
