this place now calls itself the BRGR restaurant as it has renewed itself after recovery from the hurricane Ian as part of the Sanibel Island Resort. They place is beautiful and a new favorite of mine. Had a Black and Bleu burger (relates to the name of the restaurant) with cole slaw and it was excellent! Very high quality, done just right, tasted wonderful and included bacon in the burger. Tried fries from one of our party and they were exceptional, great taste and crunch....
The food was good. I had the island chicken. Didn’t have my first choice of food or drink. Ran out. Not an inspiring place. Little ambiance. Decor was blah. Few patrons. Not a great meeting place.
Food quality not as expected. Lobster chowder was disappointing, and strawberry salad was lacking in flavor. It seemed like a cafeteria salad with artificial dressing, minimal goat cheese, not worth the price. The salad was almost as lacking as our server’s table manners. Coconut shrimp was delightful. Quality of service declined when the waitress realized we weren’t ordering drinks or enough entrees.
