Used to love this place at their original location! Tried to come back today for the first time since hurricane Ian. Around 12pm on a Wednesday — despite their Google hours and TWO different signs on their property saying “open”…. they were not open. Please update your hours, I miss this place!

Not what it used to be, now it’s a basic expensive bagel shop. The 2 girl working there were so unfriendly told us they would bring out our food, wait 15 minutes then went inside to find it sitting on the counter cold. This use to be such a fun spot with good food. They start serving lunch at 11am we got there 5 minutes past that and told us they were not serving lunch. Again an expensive bagel shop.

First day we went I waited about 20 min for a latte. The guy taking orders sat on his phone after all the orders were placed, leaving one guy to make a bunch of drinks. Second day service was much better, but pretty expensive-$18 for a small latte and sandwich.

We got a latte, hot chocolate, and two oatmeals. The latte and hot chocolate was good. The oatmeal was as plain as it comes, warm oatmeal in a bowl with a side cup of brown sugar. In all, the total was $38, which I thought was very overpriced. I kept trying to figure out if I was overcharged for something and looked around for prices. I didn't see prices listed on the paper menus or on the board, so you just order first and determine how much to pay second. I should have asked the price before ordering, so this is my fault. It's in a great location for visiting Sanibel.

Our last visit was just that, the last time we will ever go to the Bean.AC vents over the food prep area covered in fizz, dirt and lint. Always wondered how often some fell into customers food.You do not feel like a guest here, but more of a problem that has to be dealt with.So long Bean, wish I could say it has been good.

sign says opens at 7 but that is false. i stood outside after 7 while the employees inside ignored me. their coffee isn’t even that good, but i was desperate. i would just go next door and get coffee at the deli

View is good. Bagels were very good. We had an incorrect order that had to be corrected. Prices are way too expensive. $6 for an unsweetened iced tea. Staff appeared to be confused. Recommend you look for other alternatives.
