We enjoyed a nice dinner at this restaurant. I was with my family, and my small dog. so we ate on the outside patio with a view of the sunset (across the street). From the moment we arrived, Carlos was super friendly and welcoming. The bread was warm and delicious, We also tried a chicken potato leek soup and that was very good, We had a filet with Yukon mashed potatoes and vegetables, macadamia crusted Grouper with coconut jasmine rice and veg, and salmon. My son had The fish fingers off the kids menu. Everything was fresh and tasty. For dessert we had crème brûlée, key lime pie and cheesecake. All good! It’s a small, unassuming restaurant from the outside, but the food was quality and worth the drive. Go see Carlos and friends for a nice meal!

This is, in my opinion, the tastiest food on the island. Truly never disappoints. Last night I had the duck which was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender and delicious! My husband had the lamb shank which was fall apart tender and oh so tasty. The chef uses the best products and ingredients. This is definitely a 5 star dining experience!

So different inside than outside. What a surprise to walk in the door. Much nicer than portrayed on outside. We had a handicap person on a walker and they went out of their way to help us get in and out, a close table to the door. Service was excellent as was the food. Really enjoyed our dinner. Pricey but worth it.

Stopped here today for breakfast after shelling on Sanibel Island! Not only was the beach amazing, but this restaurant was too!!! I mean everything was wonderful! The pancakes are so fluffy, and the eggs were cooked perfectly, as well as the ham and home fries!! We chose to sit outside on the porch and we’re comfortable and even had a nice view of the water!!!! If your here in this area, check it out!!!!

Stopped ar sunset grill, prior to Bowmans beach, to have a few beverages during our bike ride. Nice midway point, in the bend of the road. Waitress was nice.

Great food and service. We were seated quickly at the bar, just 2 of us. Enjoyed the crabapple, thought wish they were a little bigger! Really liked the seafood quesadilla. Will return!

Truffle fries are a must!!! Seafood quesidilla was plenty for lunch and take home. Grouper Reuben was ok. Staff was very friendly, cool vibe, and view of the gulf.

What a great little gem! First of all the service was fantastic. Cute restaurant overlooking the gulf right on Sanibel-Captiva road. Although with the sand dunes you do not get full view you can still see ocean! The food was delicious and portions were nice sized. Our iced teas were never empty and they even offered us cups to go!

Very nice restaurant-Great food & service! The menu is limited for children, but the food is wonderful. Not a very big place, definitely worth a visit

In the end of the Sanibel Island (going to Captiva), it's a well located restaurant with spots to park. Places outside and inside (AC). I seated inside and ordered a traditional Burger with Fries (extra). My mom ordered the Chicken wrap. Both were very tasteful. Nice service too.

Had an early morning breakfast here recently and loved it. Sat outside where you can easily see the water across the road. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food tasted great. Be sure to try the key lime French toast. It has a nice taste of key lime without being over powering or overly sweet. It’s just right. I could have eaten two plates full! Highly recommend.

Late April, after Spring break but still pretty busy. We waited half a hour for a outside table. The food was great. We arrived just before Sunset and you can walk across the road to watch the Sunset while you wait for your table.

This restaurant has amazing sunset views and some cute outside seating on their porch, with big windows inside. Extensive wine menu. But the food was expensive, over-cooked and under-seasoned. $42 for a grilled grouper (overcooked and dried out) with a dull mango salsa, plain jasmine rice and zucchini?? We had much, much better food for half the price. The staff was friendly and attentive, but the kitchen really let them down.

We loved the Sunset Grill - it's a lovely little restaurant with a great relaxed Caribbean vibe - and was, without doubt, our favorite restaurant on Sanibel! The food was delicious - very fresh and exquisitely prepared... our waiter, Carlos, was nothing short of excellent - very knowledgeable about the food & prep - and so very attentive... Mason was also wonderful - as he answered some questions over the phone for me and took our reservation. Many of the other restaurants on Sanibel felt like they were chains (pre-packaged tasting foods, sauces, dressings, etc) with less than stellar food, the Sunset Grill, had a true gourmet flair without being pretentious. We'll be going back to the Sunset Grill when we're back on Sanibel next year!!

One of the best places to dine! Amazing lamb, tender, falls off the bone. Macadamia encrusted grouper over quinoa. Salmon over a bed of risotto. All immaculately prepared to perfection. Their warm spinach salad was delicious as well. Crème brûlée or Key Lime pie was out of this world! Make reservations in advance since the sun sets within a specific time frame. If you forgot to make a reservation, take your chances and ask to eat at their bar. The service and food is just as wonderful. One more thing, Their service is just as fantastic but Scott is one of those shinning stars. Thank you for making our dinning experience so special! He treats everyone he serves with the same gentle and professional manner. They are the best!!
