We enjoyed a nice dinner at this restaurant. I was with my family, and my small dog. so we ate on the outside patio with a view of the sunset (across the street). From the moment we arrived, Carlos was super friendly and welcoming. The bread was warm and delicious, We also tried a chicken potato leek soup and that was very good, We had a filet with Yukon mashed potatoes and vegetables, macadamia crusted Grouper with coconut jasmine rice and veg, and salmon. My son had The fish fingers off the kids menu. Everything was fresh and tasty. For dessert we had crème brûlée, key lime pie and cheesecake. All good! It’s a small, unassuming restaurant from the outside, but the food was quality and worth the drive. Go see Carlos and friends for a nice meal!

This is, in my opinion, the tastiest food on the island. Truly never disappoints. Last night I had the duck which was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender and delicious! My husband had the lamb shank which was fall apart tender and oh so tasty. The chef uses the best products and ingredients. This is definitely a 5 star dining experience!

So different inside than outside. What a surprise to walk in the door. Much nicer than portrayed on outside. We had a handicap person on a walker and they went out of their way to help us get in and out, a close table to the door. Service was excellent as was the food. Really enjoyed our dinner. Pricey but worth it.

My family and I popped into the sunset grill for a quick lunch and drink. The food and service here was great! The entire table ordered diet cokes and our server was so good about coming around with a pitcher of it to refill, which was much appreciated by all of us! The food was also delicious. Between the wraps we ordered, the bruschetta, and the fries - we were all impressed! I swapped out blackened chicken on the club wrap I got (not pictured) and loved it! Overall, great experience and worth stopping by!

First time eating here for breakfast and enjoyed it. We ate outside, it was shaded with a fan. There were persistent crows that entertained us by stealing near-by table jelly packets. The key lime French toast was yummy.

Stopped here today for breakfast after shelling on Sanibel Island! Not only was the beach amazing, but this restaurant was too!!! I mean everything was wonderful! The pancakes are so fluffy, and the eggs were cooked perfectly, as well as the ham and home fries!! We chose to sit outside on the porch and we’re comfortable and even had a nice view of the water!!!! If your here in this area, check it out!!!!

Stopped ar sunset grill, prior to Bowmans beach, to have a few beverages during our bike ride. Nice midway point, in the bend of the road. Waitress was nice.

Great food and service. We were seated quickly at the bar, just 2 of us. Enjoyed the crabapple, thought wish they were a little bigger! Really liked the seafood quesadilla. Will return!

Truffle fries are a must!!! Seafood quesidilla was plenty for lunch and take home. Grouper Reuben was ok. Staff was very friendly, cool vibe, and view of the gulf.

What a great little gem! First of all the service was fantastic. Cute restaurant overlooking the gulf right on Sanibel-Captiva road. Although with the sand dunes you do not get full view you can still see ocean! The food was delicious and portions were nice sized. Our iced teas were never empty and they even offered us cups to go!

Very nice restaurant-Great food & service! The menu is limited for children, but the food is wonderful. Not a very big place, definitely worth a visit

In the end of the Sanibel Island (going to Captiva), it's a well located restaurant with spots to park. Places outside and inside (AC). I seated inside and ordered a traditional Burger with Fries (extra). My mom ordered the Chicken wrap. Both were very tasteful. Nice service too.

Can I start off by saying the people at this restaurant are fantastic! I did not go in to ask the favor. But we had gone grocery shopping in Ft Meyers and forgot cheese for cheeseburgers. The little store on Captiva was already closed. We went into Sunset Grill with cash to pay for cheese and they gave us a bunch for all our cheeseburgers free. Now that is good people and customer service. Lets get into the important part the food - Amazing!!! When we arrived on Captiva for lunch we stopped in. I did not get pics of everyone else's food. In addition we ate at the Sunset Grill twice. For lunch I had the coconut shrimp with sweet chilli sauce, jasmine rice and veggies. The shrimp were big and well covered in coconut. Not greasy at all. My dad and brother both had cheeseburgers they looked soooo good big with melty cheese. My fiance had salmon with a nice creamy sauce. He's so particular about his fish but he loved this great with and without the sauce. All of us hope to eat at Sunset Grille one more time before leaving Captiva. Thank you Sunset Grill!

Best location in Sanibel. Enjoy watching the aqua blue Gulf as you dine inside or out. Immediate relaxation! Their cheeseburger is excellent, fries crisp and flavorful. Also had crab cakes appetizer-delicious! Loved the Caesar salad with blackened chicken and housemade dressing. Only criticism is that the housemade ciabatta croutons are tough and flavorless, so suggest ordering without them, and if you eat outside (we always do), get the dressing on the side. If you let them mix the dressing into the salad before serving it, the greens will become limp;however, if you eat inside with A/C, that may not be an issue
