This is a must-go in Sanibel Florida. Ice-"scream" was great. BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich was without a doubt top-tier. The outdoor seating is ok, but the indoor tables are like 5 inches wide, but does have spinning seats so that's cool. Also, great scenery! You also get samples of special ice cream (The sample today was mint chocolate chip.). If you go to Sanibel, Florida, you NEED (and I mean N-E-E-D) to go to The Shack.

Excellent little ice cream shop with a ton of variety and unique treats including their sand dollar ice cream cookies. They stock a generous supply of pre-packed pints in a self-serve freezer so you can easily pick out your favorites and head back to your resort or vacation rental. Inside and outside seating are available and a large gravel parking lot mean this joint won't feel too crowded in season. We'd definitely come back here.
Parking: Lots of spots available and fresh gravel make for easy entry and exit for most vehicles (no muddy potholes).

My family and I are part time residents on the island and it has become a tradition that we do not leave the island without stopping by the Shack at least once each trip (yes, there are times we are there more than once in a day - hot dogs for lunch and, of course, our evening custard run). The staff is always incredibly friendly and welcoming...always offering a sample of the daily flavor...for us, the island wouldn't be the same without the Shack.

The Shack is amazing .. the girls were amazing and you guessed it the 2 for 6 hot dogs chili cheese and onion were AMAZING.. can't wait to visit again

My favorite place on the island to get custom mixed flavors of ice cream with just about any little treat you can think of. Starting with creamy, delicious ice cream, you can add additional toppings, mix in candy, chocolate, cookies, fruit, etc into a mind blowing treat. The pre-made ice cream sandwich is excellent. Plus all sorts of drinks, snacks and treats. Great family run local business.
We absolutely loveeeeee getting ice cream at the shack!! Everytime we go to sanibel we have to make a stop! Everyone is always so happy , sweet and helpful . Was just there last weekend cannot wait to come back 🍨🍦See you soon!!!

Cute frozen custard shop, clean appearance nice colored picnic tables outside with nice landscaping. Friendly staff with smiles, very welcoming also offered samples of flavor of the day along with samples of their plain vanilla and chocolate. Reasonable prices, lots of options. Stuffed animals for sale and packaged ice cream for sale. Same owners as Whits. Would return.

I had never been to the shack before. I ordered a birthday cake over the phone. Staff described the cake options very well so ordering was easy. Cake was Exceptional! They included extra caramel on the side. Which just made it even better! Great place! Will definitely be going back.
