Great island restaurant and bar. Food is prepared exceedingly well, pours are generous, menu is pretty extensive, staff are friendly and attentive. A go to place!
Kid-friendliness: We had 5 from 1 to 10 years and they had a great time and were treated great by staff.

I was seated as usual as I live on west gulf … I’ve been coming here for years!!!! we know Matt … some new manager guy, very short man with salt and pepper hair HAD the audacity to move my baby stroller with my two sleeping infants in it.. girls heads violently were moved back from jerking it !!!!!( there headed moved back to quickly ) it is against the law to touch someone’s baby stroller with infants in it and he said I’m going to put you over here because I want you over here. He had no right to do that.. alarmed, I told my husband, I really wanted to leave, but we went ahead and tried to order anyway
Then ironically, we have some new waitress that I’ve never seen before. Try to tell me I couldn’t order a dish I have been ordering my whole life coming here, literally?? She wouldn’t hear me out this woman cut me off in mid sentence ( asking if I was ordering a child’s cheeseburger for myself ) which I was not I was ordering it for my six-year-old. My husband was ordering a piece of steak and I was ordering triple shrimp…. Crazy manly creature began to argue with my husband about the soup because she Doesn’t know the menu) at all ( we have been coming here for years with our dear friends Bob and Georgina) island trading post and none of us will ever return !
Matt I don’t know who these two are but you can not Touch !!!someone’s infant stroller without permission … it unbelievably rude and audacious!!and against the LAW BTW …he didn’t even ask he just grabbed it will full force .. some other waiter put us there !!! I didn’t have a preference where I wanted to sit, but you cannot do that?? Imagine you look and your infants are moved !!!!! Get rid of these people or I’m afraid you will lose the more islanders ! Matt please call if you would like me to elaborate. I have decided to report his actions to the Sanibel police to file a complaint about touching my infants stroller aggressivelywithout permission this individual needs to learn !!
It’s also expensive for most people…save yourself money just go to doc Fords .. I ended up having a wonderful time there tonight and then headed home to our house for our beach walk… so whatever the timbers has become very empty lately… i’m starting to see why——-/go elsewhere !!!

As a family, we have been going to Timbers for years. This time, it was sad. Overcooked seafood, which then clearly continued to cook under the heat lamps before serving. Took over an hour from order to finally getting it delivered to the table. Clearly, they were short staffed and the staff that was there could not be bothered to clearly communicate. And even with empty tables, had too many people in the restaurant to do a great job. Saw them turn away customers for no reservations. Very little local seafood as well. Just sad and disappointing

Went there twice in 2 weeks taking out of town guests. Last night our service was terrible. I asked for water 3 times. We never got 2 of the drinks ordered. When I went up to the front desk to ask again for waters, she was huffy and came to the table and told me that I need to understand that they are short staffed. Instead of saying sorry for the poor service she acted like I was the wrong one expecting to get a glass of water!! Several things were not given to our table and we won’t go back. Poor service and very bad attitude!!

Well for starters the escargot, raw oysters, and oysters Rockefeller were out of this world. Both the red and white clam chowder were like perfection in a bowl. My entrée was the baked stuffed shrimp and hands down AMAZING. Our waitress was YO and she knew everything about the history of the restaurant to the menu. I was very interested in the collection of oyster shells on the walls and she explained that as well. TEN STARS !!! I recommend to anyone who loves fresh seafood and visits Sanibel Island.
Best sea food!
