Go for the atmosphere and not the food. Great staff. Cute, fun pirate theme which was perfect for a beach vibe. Awful food. Oyster sandwich was actually terrible. The oysters were so overcooked they were more like jerky. The pork Benedict was awful. The shredded pork tasted old and the hollandaise sauce was more like a southwestern mayo aioli. The biscuit was dry. The fries were good and the child liked her fried shrimp meal. Sadly, we did not like the alcoholic drinks either. The mimosa wasn’t even cold. But outside was a cute little area and a fun vibe with the band. So maybe if you drink enough, you wouldn’t notice the food. Or maybe they are better with regular bar food like a hamburger. The atmosphere was cute enough that I might try again with much simpler food choices. However, some members of my family said it isn’t worth it and they wouldn’t go back

We went with friends for the 41st Anniversary of AJ's. Really disappointing. Aside from the 41 cent gumbo and AJ'S beers there was nothing that made this event special. I thought they would at least try to make it a bit like a party atmosphere. There was no live music, no decorations or other specials.I was expecting more from you AJ's ☹️

Our server was great, food was great - here’s my only complaint, and I take responsibility for not asking … but if “market price” for crab legs is $80… maybe mention that when someone is ordering 😱 Paid $120 for my 13 year old daughter and I to eat at lunch yesterday, and that was with no alcohol!

One of the bartenders literally ruined my best friends bachelorette. He decided to make snarky comments to me and the bride about how it was hard for me to get the card out with my nails. Very sexist and ridiculous. Literally ruined her whole night.

Had a bad experience with one of the bartenders. He decided to make snarky comments to me and my bridesmaid because it took us 2 extra seconds to pull our cards out. I don’t know what his deal is, but it was very unprofessional and rude. I wish I could give 0 stars.

Great lunch for our party of 6. No wait seating for lunch. Appetizer arrived quickly. Calamari was delicious. Fried shrimp baskets and gumbo soup were great.

We went in knowing there were some bad reviews, but decided to give it a try anyway. The free shots given to us when we walked in should have been a red flag!
We came in, group of 8, no wait for bigger table. Got drink service right away! However, our bucket of beer had three cans that were literally WATER! We witnessed a Reverse Jesus moment 😂 And one of the replacement cans came with a splinter that hurt my friends lip!
The environment was soooo loud.
Two groups came in next to us and left without getting served.
We couldn’t split the bill more than three ways.
My Wagyu smash sliders were not smash burgers. Very thick and I could only get one down.
My friend couldn’t wat more than one bite of
her grouper sandwich, it was drenched in oil.
Another sandwich was served cold.
The scallops were dime sized.
One beer was served in a cup that was lopsided and I’m shocked it didn’t spill over when served.
Won’t recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Fried shrimp was good. The lobster rolls were coated with cayenne pepper so too spicy for me and did not like and french fries were with it instead of potato salad. Service started at good then waitress busy with too large a party so didn’t see her for quite a while. Outside good seating with dog.

It started as a low-key night out, just me and some friends checking out a local dive bar. The place was grimy...the kind of spot where the smell of piss and stale beer hits you as soon as you walk in. Still, we figured we’d stick around and try to enjoy the night. The band on stage wasn’t great, and things got weird when the drummer’s girlfriend started chatting me up. I wasn’t looking for trouble, but apparently, the drummer didn’t like the attention she was giving to someone who wasn’t from around here. It escalated fast...next thing I knew, the staff was asking me and my friends to leave. No explanation, no chance to clear the air. It was obvious, we weren’t locals, and that was enough of a reason. If you’re visiting, don’t bother going to this spot. It’s a place for locals only, and stepping in as an outsider just isn’t worth the hassle. Lesson learned.
