Very bad experience today! Our party of 6 waited for 50 minutes to get the food just when we finally got it, it was cold! Super disappointed!

Awesome place for a casual family dinner! We made an early dinner reservation since there were 8 of us and everyone raved about their meal! The fried shrimp and oysters were so fresh! Blacked grouper was great. Gumbo was good. Will be back!

Nice people, and the grilled grouper is about the best fish I've had. We've been to this restaurant just about every day of our vacation because we like it so much.

Honestly, I really wouldn't recommend this place. The food was good, but the portions are way too small for what they charge. For example, the crab cake basket is expensive and literally only comes with 2 crab cakes, 2 sides, and exactly 2 hush puppies.

The real dealbreaker was the service. Our server, Justina, clearly just didn't want to deal with a larger group (we were a party of 9 with two kids). As someone who used to work in the service industry, her attitude was super obvious. She was rude and dismissive to us, but we could clearly see her inside joking around and being super attentive to her smaller tables.

She checked on us maybe 4 times the entire meal. At one point we actually had to go get our own drink refills. She took care of them after that, but we didn't really need many anyway since the cups are amazingly huge (big thumbs up for this).

The most frustrating part was that she dropped off our food and then never checked back in to see how it tasted or if we needed anything else. Mind you this was already after an unreasonable amount of time to even order the food after we got drinks and appetizers.

By the end of the meal, we sat there for what I felt was a reasonable amount of time just wondering why she hadn't checked in on us, offered boxes or dessert, or asked if we needed the check.

Finally, someone in our group had to get up, track down another staff member, and ask for our checks and some to-go boxes.

Of course, there was an automatic 20% gratuity tacked onto the bill. I totally understand auto-grat for big parties, but it is incredibly frustrating to be forced to tip 20% for such horrible service. Even though the food was tasty, the prices and the bad service mean we definitely won't be going back and I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone else.

Great food and good people. Only issue is that if you have a reservation system then need to stick with it. Waiting an hour past your reservation time is quite ridiculous in my opinion.

I never write reviews so for me to write one speaks volumes. Staff was extremely rude to my whole family, both the hostess and young lady who took our order: Spoke to everyone like they were idiots. This is second time we’ve been to this establishment and have received poor service. Despite the good food, will not be back due to poor service and treatment.

This is a beach cafe- one visits for the benefit of fresh seafood done well. The size of the crowds speaks volumes. At times, demand is great and lines long- get there early. A no nonsense menu will reward you- fresh grouper, shrimp, clams. The appropriate sides provide the comfort meal touch- fries, collards, Mac and cheese, fried green tomatoes. Benito runs a good shop- go see him; you will be rewarded.

I don’t mind waiting for good food. This was not good food. It was cold which meant the fish got tough and the fries got soggy. Very sad considering the high price.

Only reason for 2 star is the gentleman taking our order was very nice. Walked in at 2:00 PM (for reference of the worker up front). We asked if there was a menu we could see and she pointed at the corner of the counter to where they were nothing verbal and terrible way to greet anyone. Menu price on something we ordered was incorrect. I brought the price difference to her attention and she just said “it’s printed wrong” Be aware of the takeout automatic 10% charge in addition to takeout container fee. Food was decent although our chicken was tough. Maybe an off day for this place but should do much better and just increase the price of the food which is already probably priced for good profit and don’t add little fees everywhere. Won’t be going back.

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years. We remember when it was a gas station. It has become a family tradition to eat at Seagrove Village Market every time we visit. The food is great and typically so is the service, but not today. We entered the restaurant as usual and I was going to sit down because I wasn’t feeling well. My family had gotten in line and before I could sit down the hostess shouted at me to not reserve a table and that it wasn’t allowed. Her tone was so rude and disrespectful - it was extremely off putting and she could have just approached me and asked me not to sit there instead of shaming me in front of the entire restaurant. Come to find out she, like me, is a retired school teacher - this isn’t a classroom it’s a restaurant and I never treated my class the way she treated me today. If the restaurant wants to push a policy that’s fine, just train your employees to implement it respectfully.
