Unique service. You enter and place your order at counter. Pay first. We ate in the Pizzeria. We ordered a large meatball and cheese large pizza and two ice teas. We had to help ourselves to plates, napkins and silverware on our own. The pizza was delivered to the table by a server. We had to ask for our beverages to be brought to us. I don’t know why I tipped on the bill if most of the service we did ourselves.

I have had food pizza and food catered food from Assaros in the past. Last night we decided to go for dinner. Stood at the hostess stand for 10 min before being greeted. We sat in the pizzeria (no tables available in restaurant). Our table had been cleaned but crumbs remained (I saw the hostess cleaning another table with a cheap damp napkin). Food wait was longer than expected which would have been fine if the food was worth waiting for. I ordered Ziti with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage. Bad decision. The pasta was very hard (not even Al dente), the broccoli rabe was very different- all leaves with a few minuscule flowers and the sausage was bland. But the most disappointing part was the garlic oil. Zero flavor- no garlic, no salt, no spice, no cheese. It tastes like pure oil. I’ve had this dish many times. This is the worst. Very disappointing!

We had dine in pizza several months ago that was not not only wrong, but not nearly as good as it used to be. We waited several months hoping that was just a one time thing. It was not. We just ordered a Margarita pizza with grilled chicken and the crust was almost too chewy and tough to even cut with a knife. There was very little sauce and the temperature was only luke warm. For the outrageous price we paid, we won't be back What a shame. When we moved here 18 months ago were so excited to have a quality pizzaria close to us and we prefer to frequent local businesses. This one is off the list and we will begin a new search.

I would not recommend using DoorDash for this restaurant. Order was to be delivered in 45 minutes. 2 hours later after my DoorDash driver sitting there for 45 minutes waiting on my order it was delivered. And not the pizza’s I ordered. Quality is good but service via delivery is terrible.

Did not have a good experience at all. Felt like you were in a cafeteria. The food was not great
Not authentic Italian food, the flavours were not there. It seems like everything was made from frozen and for the price you pay should be much better quality. You want to have a good pizza go to Made in Italy in Venice, Florida than you will have good food

This Asaro’s location is nestled away in a strip mall well off the beaten path of Sarasota.  But, do not let its location fool you.  This pizza restaurant is well deserving of this five-star review.  The inside is quaint, and while there is not a lot of indoor seating, it does boast multiple outdoor seating options to cater to those who wish to sit and enjoy an evening breeze.  I would imagine by the number of people who came in for take-out orders they do a lot of business via online pickups.  For sit-down dining, we found our server pleasant, and she was able to answer all of our questions.  This being our first time visiting, we had quite a few.  Our server relayed how the sauce is made to order with each dinner, such as the spaghetti my wife ordered.  Now, my wife loves sauce and finds that many other Italian or pizza places, they never provide enough to fully make the meal enjoyable.  Asaro’s is on the opposite of that spectrum as her meal came with so much sauce we had to ask if all meals came with as much.  The answer was, of course, yes.  The sauce had a nice flavor to it with just enough meat.  It also came with a piece of bread and a house salad with their own vinaigrette dressing.  I ordered the 10" personal pizza with pepperoni, and it was outstanding.  The crust had just the right amount of crunch while the amount of pepperoni on top was spot on.  To top it off, we also ordered a side of their garlic knots.  The garlic knots are cooked fresh throughout the day and were terrific.  There are many pizza places in the area I like, and Asaro’s definitely has earned its place as one of them.  We will most certainly be returning many times in the future.

We went there the Tuesday before Hurricane Milton landed. Nothing else was open and I am so glad. Pizza was the very best, rice ball was delicious. Wine was very good and looking at the menu I could not wait to come back! Staff very friendly especially since the restaurant was packed with people picking up orders and people sitting and eating there. I highly recommend Asaro’s if you want great Italian cuisine.

This place is amazing. 3 days after a hurricane they are open serving people, and some patrons have the audacity to be rude and condescending to this business. They are doing their best to serve YOU so be a little more gracious is all I have to say. The pizza was amazing per usual and I just want to shout out the workers because it’s always busy here and people have paper thin patience nowadays. To the guy below that complained about a side of Alfredo sauce and gave them a one star review for that is a petty little man that needs a major wake up call. Maybe review them on how great the food is, how hard the staff works, and how at the end of it you come out with a full belly.

We visited after hurricane Milton came thru. They were slammed as they just had power restored a couple hours prior. ALL the staff were working so hard to serve the customers. Our server (Isabelle) did a fantastic job. We appreciate you! Always a great meal there!

Food and service was phenomenal. Clean and fast too!
We ate in, Maria was great! We found "our spot" as a family.
Lobster Ravioli was on point!
I was stuffed so I got a chocolate cannoli to go... can't wait to get home and eat it!
We will definitely be back.
The rest of the staff was wonderful too!
