Had had mixed experiences at this spot in the past. They totally redeemed themselves Friday nite. Food was delicious; drinks, fun; filled up and was lively. Service was excellent. Not a big fan of those hard tables in the middle of the room which was where were were seated and would be happier at the bar or at a banquette. Great local gem! Will be back soon
Calamari was excellent. Salmon portion a bit small and not seasoned much. Hubby's fettuccini with short rib didn't have a ton of meat. They don't give salad or bread or anything with the meal. Our friend had Korean meatloaf, which was the heartiest portion. Noise level high making it hard to carry on a conversation.
My wife and I and another couple just had the most incredible meal at Baker & Wife! I tased every dish that was served, and have to say this was the best food I've had in Sarasota. I'm very picky about creativity and unique flavors. Everything I tried was exceptionally thought out, delicious and memorable. I look forward to returning to enjoy other dishes on the menu.
