Rick's French Bistro is a restaurant with a beautiful location on the water looking out onto Sarasota Bay. The atmosphere is nice, calm, and relaxing. The food is good, with excellent food and outstanding service. The menu provides traditional moderately priced offerings. Specific meals mentioned include the beef bourguignon, filet mignon au poivre, and the special of veal calves liver, all described as absolutely outstanding. The crepes Suzette were perfection. Other menu items like the Lobster Tostada bites were delicious, the Beef Tenderloin tacos were flavorful, and the Chips and Guacamole were tasty. The Dove drink was refreshing. Service is impeccable, friendly, and intuitive. The chef and co-owner Michele Drai prepares to order and the results are perfection. This is a family operated restaurant run with great pride. Some negatives include no happy hour and chicken skewers being thigh meat. Drinks are great but a little on the high end.
