Hotel food is usually not that great. However, we ate lunch here a couple times and it was really good food. I had a burger and a turkey sandwich with fries. The burger was juicy and the turkey sandwich was flavorful. I would definitely eat here again for convenience during meetings at the hotel.
The staff is friendly. However, getting service was slow even when they weren’t busy.

The waitress with the glasses told me to sit wherever i wanted. Then it took her 25 minutes to even come to my table with a menu. I did not get my water until my food came. I would have gotten up and left except there we no other open restaurants. The good was good and the atmosphere was typical for a restaurant bar. Just not very impressed with the service.

Tried to have dinner this evening with my husband tonight at this restaurant since we had a really long travel day and decided to eat at the hotel so we don't have to leave. Sign at the front, said please seatyourself. BUT waited over 15 minutes, never even acknowledged that we were there waiting , waiting, waiting, not busy at all!!! so no excuses others were waiting as wel,l We will talk with the hotel after eating dinner at a fabulous local restaurant that has less staff than them and service was terrific don't recommend...this recommend this restaurant as of now they have some serious making up to do .... tables are dirty.

After swimming at beach the Restaurant has everything you need. Fun servers and staff that go above and beyond to bring you extras. Snack bar outside pool was on par. Free parking and very clean.

The service was very good. The restaurant was noisy but not offensively loud. If you were looking for a quiet environment though, this would not be it. The food was very good and portions were quite large. Whether or not it was required to pay for parking in the hotel's parking garage was unclear so I paid $12.00 to park. Restaurant patrons should be able to park free of charge but I paid to ensure my car would not be towed. The hotel should make it more clear as to whether or not restaurant patrons enjoy free parking.
The menu is significantly smaller than it used to be, but the quality of the food was just as good. Service was slow; one waiter was taking care of the whole dining room.
Great location. We loved the food selections. Everything we had was ourstanding. Thank you!
Loved the view of the harbor via Tamiami . Service was a little slow but understandable given the Embassy Suite's "Happy Hour" for residents.

Enjoyed my 1st visit @ Bridges. Awesome views for sure. Loved the Savor Sarasota menu. Our server tried hard...however, they were pretty understaffed.

We ate off the Savor Sarasota menu for lunch, and our meals were not worth the discounted price of $25. The 'crab cake' appetizer was mealy with no evidence of crabmeat. Barely browned in a skillet, came out lukewarm. The chicken sandwich was at least edible, as opposed to the appetizer but again, the bun was barely toasted, and the french fries tasted reheated instead of fresh. We wanted to sit outside at a table with a view, but the area was being cleaned so it was closed for 2 hours. Service was abysmally slow, with the greeter having to step in to help deliver our food, despite ours being one of only a few tables occupied at the time. Will not return. Service was extra slow even though we were one of very few occupied tables.
Not worth the money!
My family and I were excited to check into the Embassy Suites in downtown Sarasota, as we were just starting our vacation here. We thought that by making reservations for Bridges, we would not have to worry about getting checked in and looking around for somewhere to eat.
The restaurant is pretty. The view is very nice. The charcuterie board appetizer was also very nice. Those are the good things.
My wife had the Caprese sandwich. She said that it was not very flavorful and that the chicken was tough.
I had the shrimp and chorizo. Once again, not very flavorful. It was about as good as I would imagine a college student without a recipe would prepare. The presentation certainly left something to be desired.
My daughter had the salmon scototto. Again, not very flavorful.
My son had a mezzi rigatoni. I tasted it. It reminded me of the beef and noodles I had in Boot Camp in the Navy in 1996.
My wife and daughter had cocktails, which they thought were good. I had an old-fashioned which I had to ask for additional simple syrup because I could not detect any.
The bartender was my waitress, and she was fine (except for my drink).
When they brought out our food, three plates
came out at the same time, but my plate came out about five minutes later. The waiter joked that he had eaten my meal when he brought out the first three plates. I fake laughed.
We were surprised at the bill and that it was around $220 for that. With the tip, the bill came to about $260 total.
If I had known that the quality of the food would be so underwhelming, and that the bill would come out to $260, I would never have come there in the first place. I can think of numerous restaurants that I could spend $260 at in Sarasota, which would be far superior. And as a matter, fact, I did, and all of them were better.
Long story, short, don’t expect much, and expect to pay a lot for it. I highly recommend looking for another restaurant to spend your hard earned money!
