We decided to try Buffet city for lunch and while the place is very clean and food was tasty, neither me nor my wife could finish our plates and like we often do when dining out we get a to go box. Buffet City wanted to charge us for taking the remaining food on our plates home, I mean come on really, WTF, they are just going to throw away the few pieces of chicken that was left on the plate.. Crazy that they are so willing to be wasteful! Never, not a single time has any restaurant wanted to charge us for taking the remains of out food home, Buffet City you are part of the problem. We will not go back there.

All of the good on this buffet is very good, sushi is high quality and delicious, then you can have a variety of choices of delicious entrees, or have it coiked to order on the hibachi. Well worth a trip.

As buffets go, there is a limit to how good they can be, how fresh the food can be, etc. This place is about the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to. They have a very, very good selection of food. This includes a nice selection of sushi. The sushi here meets or beats quite a few sushi places in town at a lower price.

Great place ,lots of selections, great price, service was good no 5 as they brought a ice tea instead of Pepsi then waitress argued that's what we told other server. We were shamed into drinking the tea. But I would recommend it and will definitely go again

we've been looking for a nice buffet since moving from new york to st. pete. we definitely care about quality rather than quantity. we are not there to eat a great amount of food, but rather taste a bit of many different items. we have not been able to find one here.
yesterday, we had an appointment in sarasota, and googled great buffets in sarasota, and buffet city came up. we decided to try it. it exceeded every expectation. the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. the dining room and buffet area were incredibly clean and very very nicely set up. the food was some of the best we've ever had.
we can't say enough great things about buffet city in sarasota. we have a new go to lunch place when we're down in sarasota, and will surely take the drive from st. pete even when there's no other reason to be down there.
I've been to all the Buffets in Bradenton - Sarasota area. This place has had the best quality Sushi of any of them. The food has been fresh and delicious every time I've been there. The prices are higher than others which is Okay with me when the quality is there. The big question is will this continue as many start off great then slow digress.
