The savory crepes and the pasta are very good. The hours are short right now but they will eventually re-open for lunch. We go often and find they are lovely people and the food is consistent. Would recommend.

I experienced Cafe Roma for the first time lastnight. It was my parents 58th anniversary and my mother was born in italy. Cafe Roma is a cozy, casual dining experience we won't soon forget. The food was exceptional and the husband and wife team, along with their teenage son, are from Rome Italy. They did a fantastic job of making sure our party of 15 people were all served our food at the same time. I had the pleasure of sampling their spaghetti marinara, the chicken marsala and a platter of antipasto. Each bite was heavenly; with the flavors of true italian cooking coming through with each course. This a must go to cafe for the true lover of Italian food.

I really hate to say i feel ive have had much better food at a chain restaurant. It was certainly not the worst Ive had but not the best. Maybe the mistake was getting a to go order. Was dismayed and wasnt expecting a creamy Italian dressing w salad! I was also disappointed about not being able to get a fettuccine instead spaghetti pasta w my meal. Flavor in my marsala was okay, but not as rich and deep as im used to elsewhere. Gave it shot, maybe ill go in person soon, but i wont be getting it go again. Some of crepes on the menu looked really good.

Don’t order the chicken fingers...no joke these were dinosaur shapes ?WTF...was our first thought...stopped here for lunch. Reasonable prices. Fresh salads, crepes seemed good. Hamburger ok, Frozen fries...stick with the crepes, eggs, ect. Those are hard to come by at Sam’s club or Sysco ! Wish I had a photo.

Disappointing. The lasagna noodle was so thick, and also greasy as was the sauce. The place needs to be more open to outside. This used to Mediterranean and called Chutneys. Same owners, same decor basically. I wonder why they changed to Italian. Much better before. Won't return now. Maybe 2 and 1/2 stars better rating sorry to say.
i work in the area and this place has a different take to the traditional Italian food, crepes are phenomenal. i will get there for dinner with the family and enjoy their desserts. thank you for bringing something different to Sarasota.

I dine every Tuesday with a group of friends. Our goal is to try new establishments in Sarasota that are not part of chains. We were pleasantly surprised this past Tuesday. Cafe Roma was enjopyed by all. We all had different entrays and everyone enjoyed their meal. We were not rushed in ordering or eating and could carry on a conversation without shouting across the table (which is a problem in many places). Portions were just right! They had an unusual variety to choose from. I had nnever seen Italian crepes. I did not choose one of them but 2 of my friends did and gave wonderful reviews. "Clean plate awards" Great place to go for a great dinner - appropriate portion and value.

What a wonderful meal and happy hour. The Gulf Coast Italian Culture Society had the entire restaurant. The service was wonderful. The cook and his wife came out to talk to us and we WILL return. Thank you for the event.
