not sure how I'm going to eat tacos at anywhere else but casa masa. the elote, guac & chips, pork belly....all are "must order" when you visit. Lobster tacos were out of this world tonight.

The people who run this place are into the little details that make it special. The cuisine is original & tasty. I would suggest ordering ahead to go if you are in a hurry.Quirky cute place with friendly service. Great vibe.Word is they are moving to The Landings soon.Vegetarian options: Blue corn chip & tortillas are prepared a special way..that is tasty & allows you to absorb more nutrients. Vegetarian protein options.

This place is legit. I was skeptical cuz the last place was supposed to be great and it was NOT. I am a food snob. Idk how Latin places mess up rice and beans, but this place does NOT. The esquites.... some of the best I've ever had. A bit pricey but these are not street tacos and they satisfy. The soft shell crab and octopus..... wow. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Do not sleep on Casa Masa!! Go try for yourself! Will be back - rating 20 out of 10.First visit to my new favorite spot in Sarasota. We enjoyed a selection of items starting with the warm house made, blue tortilla chips with queso, followed by a selection of tacos.Kangaroo taco was absolutely delicious. Super tender, flavorful meat that has taste and texture very similar to filet. Take the adventure and give it a try! You’ll be pleasantly surprised.I also had the brussel sprout taco and the pork belly taco - which were wonderful. The different complexity and textures associated with each bite hit on a level I was not prepared for. My husband had al pastor which were also delicious. Sweet and salty with the pineapple and wonderfully seasoned pork. The atmosphere was relaxed with a good vibe, upbeat music. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and well versed on the menu. Super delicious.

Found this restaurant here on Yelp! I decided that I would circle back and leave a review. It's a small casual storefront and very deceiving until you enter to settle in. We stopped in for dinner and started with the blue chips and queso. Both were hot, flavorful and really glad we tried them. Then we each ordered a chimichanga, and I went with the black garlic crema add on and although there was plenty of sauce in the dish I was a good addition. The portions were generous, hot and really delicious. My husband added an octopus taco since that meat's a favorite of his. The portion was a small size handheld taco and the meat was more tender than what he ordered as an app at 1592 a few nights ago.

Went to Casa Mesa for some taco Tuesday ( no taco Tuesday prices). We had chips and queso($10, beans and rice, a El Pastor Mexican Pizza ($20), a lamb Birrea taco ($6) and a soft crab taco ($12).The food and service were good. I was expecting a less formal Mexican place with good food and lower prices. This place was hip, and not cheap. But the food was good, and I had no problem with the prices.I enjoyed the food, all dishes were good!Bill was over $60, with tip, $70 for 2 people.Check it out!

We are from Southern California. This is the best Mexican restaurant on the Gulf coast.

A cool spot if you’re not looking for authentic Mexican food. Very hipster vibe in regards to scene and dishes offered, don’t get me wrong the food was definitely uniquely flavored but this wasn’t what I was looking for in regards to flavor in my tacos or burrito. Cool artwork outside tho!Parking: Easy. Whole parking lot availableKid-friendliness: Kids were welcomeWheelchair accessibility: Yes street level
