Our experience was good but not great. Food was good, not exceptional. We were charged extra for a second bread service which was 4 tiny pieces of bread. We were also charged to split an entree even though we ordered an appetizer, a salad and a bottle of wine. They were out of 2 of the 5 appetizers. And to make things worse, I twisted my ankle badly in a pot hole in the parking spot right in front of the restaurant. Location is great but experience was meh.

It was our first time at Casantica and it was a great all-around experience. We couldn't believe we've been here since before the restaurant opened 11 years ago and wasn't aware of it. We will definitely be back. It was quiet and comfortable, like eating at a friend's place. The food was great and the service was too. Give it a try!

I always go to Casa Antica before a play at Florida Studio Theater. The food is good parking across the street is free and it's a short walk to the theater maybe a block so it's a perfect place to have dinner before and to park easily.

I love this place. The porcini ravioli is so good I can't tell you. The other thing I love is the chicken Parmesan. These two dishes are so good I really don't venture into other areas. And it's quiet, which is fabulous

What a great find! A cozy, upscale restaurant in an old house with little private rooms. We were warmly greeted by the staff, table service was excellent and the food was delicious. A great experience. We'll be back!

My boyfriend and I have walked by this restaurant many times and wanted to finally stop in to try it. We had just eaten elsewhere, so we thought we’d grab a coffee and check out the place since it’s usually very quiet and has plenty of open tables. When we told the waitress we only wanted coffee, she came back and said the manager told her it was “full dinner only.”

We were surprised — the restaurant was completely empty, and it seemed odd to turn away two polite customers just wanting coffee. It felt unwelcoming and honestly a bit embarrassing to be told to leave when there were so many empty tables. Unfortunately, that first impression really turned us off, and we won’t be going back. Sad because we wanted to come in soon to order a full dinner.

There's something truly special about this place — the warmth, the quiet confidence, the feeling that everything is done with care.
Beautiful Italian food, warm atmosphere, and service that truly cares. The pasta was cooked to perfection - simple, elegant, and full of heart. Pollo Alla Fiorentina had that classic flavor you only find in a true trattoria italiana.
Great wine recommendation, quiet cozy vibe, and finishing with a strong, clean espresso - just the perfect ending. A true gem in Sarasota.

A beautifully authentic Italian restaurant that feels like eating at your grandmother’s house in Italy! It’s cozy, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is full of heart. The owner is from Rome—so we even got to practice a little Italian—and she was incredibly welcoming. The hospitality was wonderful. We had the lobster ravioli, chicken parmigiana, and burrata and carpaccio appetizers—everything was outstanding!

So authentically Italian Bolognese sauce was fantastic and the seafood fettuccini ( allo scoglio) was superb. The food came out hot and tasty. All seven of us enjoyed our meals from the calamari sautéed to every pasta dish to the veal saltimbocca We will definitely return Buonissimo!

Excellent veal piccata and a salmon pasta dish. We enjoy dining here with friends as the atmosphere is cosy elegance.

Roberto's is Italians best food in town. The calamari sautéed is a must. Will come back, as always.

Celebrating a birthday my husband and I wanted a great Italian dinner. We decided on CasAntica and we were not disappointed. Great wine selection. I ordered the house Caesar salad which was a large portion. We both ordered Veal Saltimbocca. More then ample portion, very tender and delicious. Our server was amazing and helpful. The restaurant is old world charm has delicious food and prices are affordable. Well worth it!

Love the lasagna. Snapper was not that good, not enough seasoning, too fishy for my taste, caprice salad was great, service was outstanding.

The portions were ridiculously small. Fried calamari portion could fit in one hand for $21. Veal parm did not come with pasta...$6.50 extra! Very overpriced for very small portions.
