This has become one of my favorite lunch spots in downtown Sarasota. I think the food is great and the service is friendly and efficient. Nice to enjoy an authentic Cuban meal, mixing it up for standard salads and sandwich fare.

I do not venture out to eat because I find many restaurants I this area to be subpar. I heard rave reviews on this one so I made a reservation. They were not busy when we arrived yet we had to wait 10 minutes for the table to be set up. Then it was another 10 min before the cocktail order was taken. After another 10 minutes the drinks arrived. Our server made a diligent effort to take care of us but the back of house mgr needs to be help him. The empanadas were good and flavorful. The paella was bland along with the beans and rice. Our shrimp entree was swimming in butter. The temperature on all the food was mediocre. Ambience was annoying as a family was present not watching their kids as they ran around. I love kids just not when I have chosen a place that is supposed to be a little more than family style. Yes this is a harshly honest review but hopefully the establishment can make improvements

Amazing restaurant . We were new to it and it did not disappoint. Food was fantastic , service was great and atmosphere energetic . I cannot wait to refer my friends and family and most of all go back to tastes other delights they have .

We drove an hour to try this restaurant and we were so glad for the experience. Authentic, great Cuban food in a very nice atmosphere, and very reasonably priced. Nice staff too. Will definitely return.

We had an amazing time seated outside and the food was very tasty. The service was top notch and they had the cleanest restrooms have seen and that tells us their kitchen is also very clean.

We always love our visits to Cuba 1958! We always make sure to head to the bar before dinner to have one of the best Mojito's we've ever had. We will most definitely be back!! Don't change a thing!!

The Roasted pork dinner is excellent as are the black beans. We also tried the guacamole with the plantain chips which was great

Great service and food We were celebrating my husbands birthday. He passed away in July and this was his favorite place. The servers even came to sing happy birthday and my grandson was so happy to honor his grandad. Thank you so much for a memorable evening ❤️

It was our first time at Cuba 1958 and we will DEFINITELY will return. We originally had made reservations for dinner but it was a beautiful day so we made another reservation for 1pm. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised especially driving over 1 hour to get there. The owner sat us immediately, the restaurant was spotless and the decor was fabulous. It was so nice to see the staff dressed with a crisp white shirt and tie. Our waiter Janio was attentive, personal, and efficient with a strong knowledge of the menu. The food was very authentic and the presentation was spot on. Before we left I asked wasn't there another room we saw on the website. Our waiter graciously took us to the back where we were even more blown away Stunning!!! Can't wait to go back and we will definitely let our friends and family know about this great treasure we found.

We ended up here by chance. We were looking for place for dinner at 9:30pm on Saturday. We were going to try LQ on Main. As I made a turn into street, saw this place out of corner of my eye. I parked my car and looked it up, to see what time it closed. My husband and I decided to try it out. Went inside, it was a bit loud. It was a nice evening so we asked to sit outside. It was perfect, nice breeze, beautiful music, lights, just perfect. Since we never been here before, ordered bunch of tapas. It was good move. Everything was delicious. My mojito was perfect, very refreshing. Our waiter was very good. I want to say his name was Adolfo, maybe. He was very friendly and explained things about menu and food. We were very happy with everything and will be back for sure. Thanks for good food and nice atmosphere

As usual had a great experience. We discovered Lewis is no longer at the bar which we loved him, Daniel filled the spot perfectly great cocktails, food and ambiance. Although a well deserved 5 star experience I always give four star as my best rating for I believe there is always room for improvement.
