Grandpa's Schnitzel

I stumbled upon this gem after Geiers unfortunately went out of business, and I couldn't be happier. I'm almost hesitant to expose my secret, but I have to say: I buy my sauerkraut and bratwurst here and nowhere else. The quality is outstanding, and the selection is fantastic. I especially recommend the bratwurst with the seasonings – chef's kiss! If you're looking for authentic, delicious German flavors, this is the place to go.

They have a fantastic pork Schnitzel, the best I've had. The service was friendly and after I was accidentally overcharged, they made sure to make it right immediately.

I don't know how this place stays in business, the hours are terrible. Tried to get food so many times, always closed, and then you come when it's open and nope, no hot food served after 2. I have never seen a deli like this in my life. And I'm European, lived in Germany and would love to have some. But I guess I won't. Lol

It was okay, but not really worth the $20 a plate. The sausages were just alright, the mashed potatoes were clearly from a box, and the handmade sauerkraut didn’t do much for me. Service was pretty slow too—it took a while to get the plate, even though the sausages had just come off the grill. Glad I gave it a shot, but I probably won’t be back

As it goes sometimes, found this place just cruising around Google Maps at home. Wanted to stock up on some things for a home version of Oktoberfest since I have to work and will probably miss most of the festivities.

While there we had lunch. Me: Beef Roulade that was amazing. She had Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, also amazing.

Grabbed some cold cuts and a few small grocery items too.

I was in the area for business and needed a quick lunch & this place was great! Loved the pork schnitzel sandwich & the potato pancakes. Will return!

I like this place because they are very friendly and welcoming. I arrived at around 1430 and I was so bummed to find out they stop serving hot food at 2 pm 😔. I had driven here all the way from Ocala because I saw the place on TikTok. They made it up to me but cooking a free brat at the front of the store and I bought some other food items in the store. Next time, have to arrive earlier.

Best sausages and hot dogs in town with the homemade buns. Next level.

When our local German deli closed in Pinellas County, I panicked — my 92-year-old Oma eats a German sandwich every night. We were told to try Grandpa’s Schnitzel and made the 55-minute drive — totally worth it!

The bread is imported from Germany, and Oma got her favorite Jagdwurst. Of course, we had to try the schnitzel — crispy, authentic, and delicious. Best part? Oma got to meet Grandpa himself and his son from Heidelberg.

Oma-approved and we’ll definitely be back!
