I had Greek salad with chicken. The portion was not large but fine for a light dinner. Good flavor. I also had pita and hummus. Pita was thick, light, and warm. Hummus was also thick and very flavorful. My
Mom had saganaki that they flambé at the table. Excellent!
The woman serving Me was rude and unnecessary because I initially decided not to tip

I went with my family for to go. In the meantime waiting for the food, I asked for a glass of water and she brought one out and then complained about doing extra work and how she would have to wash the extra dish. Food portions were tiny and not worth the price at all.

That was our first and last experience with the restaurant. We love Greek cuisine. Ordered a take out. Less than impressed. Portions are really small (for the price). The taste is bland, nothing Greek about it. Can’t recommend it for a take out.

Started with the classic saganaki. Excellent with the pita points. Wife I both ordered mousaka and it was excellant. The side greek salad was amongst the best I've ever had. Dressing was amazing. Bread basket before the entrée was also amazing. Not only was the food spectacular, but the Hungarian waitress made the dining experience extra spectacular. No doubt one of THE best waitress we have had anywhere. Grew up in the Detroit area and have many Greek friends I grew up with. Know authentic Greek food when I see it. Greek taverna doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend

I am so sorry but no review could ever quite do the food here justice. It is that amazing. This is the type of food that teaches everyone what real home cooking should taste like. It’s freshly made and each bite is like a hug (and that’s an understatement). It also can’t hurt that our waitress was sweet and absolutely made the experience.
The avgolemono soup (like a lemon orzo with chicken) is to die for. I can’t recommend enough sitting for a full course dinner but if you’re short on time, the lamb gyro is absolutely worth dying over. Highly recommend the fresh pita and tzatziki, falafel, avgolemono soup, lamb shank, and rice pudding or baklava for dessert. It was my first time eating there but I have very high hopes for the rest of the menu. Seriously, its the food you fall asleep and dream about.

I wanted to fall in love with his place, and the reviews that I read made that thought very promising. Maybe I was there on an off night. The atmosphere and the service were exemplary. The food was good but not great. My wife and sister-in-law had moussaka. She has eaten it at many restaurants. Something she makes at home. And she has worked as a chef at her restaurant. She felt it lacked flavor and was bland. I had the Greek Giouvetsi. Essentially a lamb stew with pasta. It was cooked well, but in the same vein as the moussaka, lacked flavor and was bland. While it is good, solid food, and the extensive menu makes it a good choice for varied diners, there is room for improvement.
