My husband is from Molfetta Italy and we both agree this is the most authentic Italian restaurant we have found in the area! Food is phenomenal, I would give them 10 stars if I could!!

Love this place! Authentic Roman food prepared with love by a family straight from Italia. Highly recommend you try the fresh pasta and the house-made foccacia. Seafood dishes are amazing and fresh - spaghetti with clams, risotto with shrimp and scallops. Superb.

Love finding a local gem! Marsilio took great care of us and made excellent recommendations. We will definitely be back! Hard to find authentic *homemade* Italian food and this is the most legit you will find in SRQ! Definitely plan ahead & make a reservation, it is quaint and space is limited.

First time tonight. Lackluster flavors overall. So busy - hard to get salt, pepper or red pepper. Pork chop overdone and carbonara was creamy vs authentic Rome style. Caprese tomatoes had no flavor.

I come to Sarasota for the fourth time on vacation and I always come back to this place for dinner, it is like very familiar, attention 1000 points. Good people take care of the whole family
Calamari was excellent. The lasagna was decent. The other pasta dish was just not it. Lacked flavor, seasoning. What was baffling (and insulting) was the restaurant calling us an hour after we left basically accusing of us not paying after we left cash and generous tip on the table. A. How do you not check with the waiter first B. I would think your staff would alert you immediately if someone didn’t pay. Never had that happen nor heard of that happening in my life.

Service was horrible. Waited 15 mins before someone waited on us and that trend continued as we waited about 15 mins to get our drinks, waters weren't refilled. Entrees came out after about 45 mins. Very slow service. Food was very good but not worth the bad service.

Our favorite restaurant. We love spending time and dining here w our family. Everything is excellent. Pizza. Wine. Pasta. Specials. Service. Chicken. Veal. EVERYTHING. my wife's father is off the boat spoke limited English and I can tell you this is as authentic as it gets to Roman style  cuisine. We love it and feel at home when we're there, Which is at least 4 times a month.

We finally were able to get a table at this Sarasota favorite. Service was amazing; friendly, informative. We had the lamb bolognese special ( ate every bite!) and the braccole. Had a side of the fresh grilled veggies. The portions were very ample and delicious. We took home some foccacia and enjoyed it the next day with our leftovers. It was just like being back in Italy. Fresh food and herbs. All homemade.. No rush. Relaxed. Spent time talking with our waiter and other guests. (They had meatballs and a pizza and loved their food as well.) Can't wait to go back.
