Stupid inflation isn't the fault of the business, I just miss being able to come as often as I did as a kid with the price.Still can't beat the food or the scenery.

The is the best spot! I am reluctant to give it a super review because I don't want all the tourists to find it. But Deb and the staff are amazing, so I have to say...5 Stars!! Best Burger in town! Sorry Patrick!Parking: Don't be afraid to park away and walk a little. Park down by Mote & Save Our Seabirds. Then walk the short distance up to the Bait Shop. You'll work up an appetite and avoid getting tied up with people who don't know how to park if there aren't lines on asphalt

I know what you're thinking. Lunch at a bait shop. New Pass grill is a great no frills shack order at the window, take it to go ( why would you want to with the amazing water view ) or sit at their rocky old bar stools at a long counter facing the water. We chose counter. What a stunning water view as we watched boats dock to pick up some lunch. Our lunch was perfect. As we 1st walked around St. Armand's circle perusing all the fancy menus we didn't want a huge lunch because we were going to have a big dinner and we didn't feel like spending tons of money on lunch. We were glad to have found this spot as we drove around out of town towards Longboat Key. We had a fish sandwich with fries, a tuna sandwich and fried pickles. Everything was made to order, fresh and delicious. I saw a lot of people ordering burgers and said they were really good. if you're looking for an inexpensive place for lunch with a beautiful view of the water and don't mind eating by a shack this is your place. I'm sure it's a known local go to. The secrets out!

My go to place for Grilled Grouper Sandwich. Fresh and flakey plus fries -which I wish they wouldn't give me - because they're all gone by the time I get home!!! The Brother who's always on station at the grill is truly a Grill-Master. Make sure you tip these people when you go there! This place never disappoints, and while you're waiting you can watch the Snook underneath the pontoon booze-cruise boat that's docked there or dolphins frolicking ( they frolic?) in the cove. . Just don't feed the birds, like the sign says - even though the whole of the mid-western values people that comes down to the Gulf Coast ignores it. Bad for the egrets. Bad for the people trying to eat. Other than that. Best Grouper around! Eat Local!

Didn't go to the grill, went to the bait shop. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local water in the bay and ocean. Caught a few really nice fish. I'm pretty much a expert up in MD fishing and have been to the keys enough to know fishing there. But first time I've been to Sarasota FL since 1989. Highly recommend
