While the food is very good, it's way too noisy!! People talking was the worst, but then loud music was added! My dinner companion and I could not have a decent conversation!!

You might not see it from the outside but this spot is a must do! Beautiful and spacious, even when packed you can chat with your neighbor and then the food.... AMAZING! I've had almost everything and it's all great! Top it off with the service... Be sure to get to the bar, best cocktails in Siesta. This is the full experience. You won't be disappointed.

Holy Tristan!! This bartender rocked our dinner! From outstanding drinks to menu suggestions, he made our first experience wonderful! Had the lamb shank with polenta (delicious) but the showstopper was the perfectly grilled octopus starter. We will be back!!

Not sure what this restaurant wants to be ... a high energy lounge bar or high end restaurant? Piped in music is way too loud, acoustics need to be adjusted so diners can have conversation. Not sure if this is regularly happening but a live singer performance occurred while we we there - again way too loud!! Food presentation & overall taste lacking - burnt, undercooked & even bland. When the "catch of the day"entree was incorrectly described by the server & then served undercooked, we knew we would not be returning to this establishment.

I want to start with the good. The service was amazing. The decor and setting was impeccable. It is about the food. I want to give this restaurant another shot. If you're going to serve grilled octopus, it had better be fresh grilled. Sous vide is fine , but taken to extreme , it will make octopus rubbery and hard. Either take it off the menu , or keep working on it before you serve it. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. This is just a precaution

This place is incredible! A friend and I stopped in unexpectedly and I absolutely LOVE bourbon old fashioneds and Tristan our bartender has blown my mind with not only one of the absolute best I've had in Sarasota BUT made me a new drink and it's something I would normally never drink and I'm in awe! Tristan is the best! Ask for him when you come! A must visit!

I wanted this to be amazing. We live in the neighborhood and had been waiting to try Opus for a special occasion. It was my husband's 50th birthday. Honestly, we expected so much. It was fine. The food was ok. The menu had been altered and so what we originally ordered wasn't available. Also, we ordered an appetizer which was ok but the plates and tray were never cleared. Even when our entrees were served. No offering of dessert for the big birthday. It was just an ok experience but for $160 for two people (I had a burger and fries!) we honestly expected outstanding. We won't be back.

Great food and service. ! The muscles were heavenly. Gluten free bread and options for my partner. We are regular locals and always enjoy the chef fish specials. Great bar drinks ! And nice wine list.

First visit for a business lunch after many dinners, happy hours and wine tastings. Great selection of appetizers, salads and sandwiches, good atmosphere for casual and business discussions. Will be back.

We had an excellent meal at OPUS. I had the Lamb Shank and it was fall off the bone delicious. My wife had the Burger and it was excellent. They also had a singer preforming, which made for a nice atmosphere. Wait staff was attentive and pleasant, offering good suggestions. The only think that was not perfect was the prices for wine. They should offer a reasonably priced Cabernet, etc.

This place is truly a hidden gem in Sarasota. They might have the best lunch deals in all of Sarasota that ACTUALLY serve something real and homemade that isn't wrapped in paper. Dinko and Jackson run a tight ship during lunch and the service is always on point.

Food and service was excellent. The noise level was extreme. Difficult to be heard by your table mates. We did ask to have the music lowered which did occur but 30 minutes later it was turned back up. Please consider that the reason for dining out is to enjoy the food and company of friends.

We stumbled upon Opus after bike riding on the Legacy Trail. What a find! It was one of our best meals while visiting Sarasota. The pasta and salad was a bargain. The pasta and sauces were especially delicious. Our server was Dinko and his excellent service was friendly and helpful.

We always like Opus. They had live music which was nice. Kitchen was short staffed so dinner for 4 took 3.5 hours. We didn't mind but they should've let us know in advance.

Food was excellent, lounge ambiance for a date night I wouldn't recommend, service in lounge was terrible. 1 server/bartender for entire area. We waiting a very long time to place our meal order after getting iur drinks and the server was not real attentive. Afterall she was twnding bar and handling 10 tables also, for some reason the host had our table reserved in the "lounge" versus the main dining area which we were expecting, we would've much preferred the main dining area.
