Our friend found this restaurant and we had a superb meal last night. I had the Cochinita Pibil which was a slow cooked Yucatán style pork shoulder. Seasoning was just a knockout. Our friend had the whole snapper which he loved. My wife got the Camarones Al Ajillo which was a garlic shrimp over rice dish that she loved as well. I tasted some of the rice and the sauce was stellar. This was a great find and we will definitely be back.
Good food. Second time there and I like the Frida lounge more than the sit down restaurant personally. Drinks are tiny. You pay $15 for a Marg and it is half ice and very small, so not great value there. Food was good. We had the fajitas. In the Frida lounge, you can get tacos which are really phenomenal as well. I attended a group lunch at Kolucan last week - and usually when you think "group lunch" you think boring. The meal options were anything but boring - they were delicious. And with a big group, the food came out piping hot and still plated beautifully! Nice work Kolucan! I will be back and plan to bring lots of new friends!
