“I went to Circo for food and drinks with my friend's and had a great experience. Our bartender Nik was amazing and made me a jalapeño mango margarita and it was the BEST margarita I’ve ever had! I highly recommend anyone to come here if they’re looking for good drinks, food and amazing service.“

“OMG, this place is amazing! Rob, the owner, was AWESOME having me try a bunch of stuff for my 1st time visit. He first had me dabble in some freshly made plum sauce which he said was on the Duck Taco. By far, the BEST taco I've EVER had. While I couldn't finish it all, I also had the Birria (with actual Lamb!), the Grouper taco & the Pork Belly taco. I'm REALLY picky when it comes to Fish Tacos often judging against some of the best I've ever had, living in CA. If this wasn't the best I've ever had, it was for sure 2nd best! Perfectly cooked Grouper! The other two, also amazing. Consommé... amazing! He also had some crazy black garlic sauce which I could drink! Go give this local gem some business!!! There's been alot of turnover in that location and we CANNOT lose this place. You can taste Rob's clear passion & love of his creations in every bite! Glad I only live a mile away...“

“Tacos El Costeno is a hidden gem. We tried it on our first night in Sarasota, based on all of the glowing reviews, and it did not disappoint. My husband had a steak taco and pork taco and my daughter had a chicken taco. The tacos came with cilantro, lime, onion, and slices of radishes. Based on one review I saw, I went for a gordita with chorizo, and it was amazing. The dough was freshly fried. The chorizo was so flavorful. I was in heaven. 1 gordita for dinner was plenty for me to feel full. The food was served with 2 sauces to add on--one green and one red and both were great. I liked that there were picnic tables to eat freshly cooked food that was brought out to us. My only gripe was that the tables are close to a road that has a decent amount of traffic going by, so it was a bit loud. But not a big deal overall. We will absolutely visit this place again during our time in Sarasota!“

“Authenticity is hard. The crushing weight of continuity and expectation is a pall on Sarasota. Retirees and vacationers want the same thing they get from every Outback, Applebee's, and Waffle House anywhere else. But there are places, places that honor an audience of workers and laborers that keep the economy of outsiders humming. Bitia's Taqueria honors both, at least those who want something more than a steak. Nestled in a plaza in south Sarasota amongst a Chilean restaurant, and British and Scottish pub, and a crazy hair joint - Bitia's is 10 tables and a counter. Their open kitchen shows tacos warming and an endless supply of delicious papusas on a flattop as customers wander in. The menu is on a screen above the counter and in Spanish first. When my wife and I walked in, we stood out like a sore thumb amongst locals who had come for a Sunday lunch and ordered en Español. This is the type of place that if you feel alien - you have found something real. The tacos are legit. Corn shell tortillas with incredible meat fillings and the absolute minimum otherwise - raw white onion and cilantro. The salsa verde and roja is made available to you and both are great. The pupusas - the papusas! Masa grilled with caso fresco - plentiful caso fresco, along with beans or meat: extraordinary. Served with an exquisite curtido - nothing in UTC can compare. You don't even need to go far. Just go.“

“The food is incredible. This is last nights dinner being enjoyed for breakfast. Shrimp fajitas! I sub the corn tortillas for flour, and at home this morning, I added sautéed mushrooms and Greek yogurt to sub sour cream. The birria tacos, chicken quesadillas, Reynas plate, suedero taco’s, chicken tacos, and fish tacos are all delicious. We add all the hot sauces and smokey salsa. Diana is probably the biggest treat of all. She’s upbeat, helpful, explains the specials throughly and will make you smile for sure. Be sure to tip her well, as she works hard! “We went to Island House Taqueria last winter while in Florida and couldn’t wait to return this year. We went there this week on Taco Tuesday. Problem was the tacos were full price not half price as advertised on their web site and the tortillas weren’t made out of the blue corn that was so good last year. I will say that they were loaded with meat but just not what we had last year. Sorry to say we probably won’t be back.“

“It's All GoodMy wife sent me to Manny's yesterday to get some tacos, my first visit to this food truck. I've noticed this truck for months but never thought to stop by, although they seemed to be popular. A quick look online and I knew they are cash only and have a simple menu. She wanted to try their Carne Asada and Al Pastor. That sounded fine so I got the same thing, only twice as much.There was no line when I arrived so it was a quick stop, placing my order, paying, and receiving my container of food in just a few minutes. Once home we opened it up and both thought it looked really very good. They use a double shell for each taco so the tacos don't tear apart. I got kind of carried away with the red hot sauce so I didn't taste much, barely able to distinguish any differences between the steak and pork. I'm not much of a taco aficionado anyway, to me it was all good. Manny's is located, on Fridays and Saturday, at Nick's Bar on Bee Ridge just east of McIntoch.“

“Our first time here, we came in for breakfast. The atmosphere was great, we sat outside and enjoyed a great view of Saint Armand Circle. We had wonderful service and enjoyed a very good breakfast. My wife said it was the best omelet she had ever had.“

“Doesn't seem like much when you walk in, but it will be some of the best mexican you can get in sarasota. The burrito supreme was excellent but a bit heavy on the refried beans, even though they are very tasty. Also being situated in a gas station opens up your beverage choice to an incredibly wide range to compliment your food, including traditional Mexican sodas and things. The quality does drop a bit later in the day, but earlier in the day, like around lunch, is peak. The service speed is typical for places that make REAL food. And the prices are super good, like 6 or 7 dollars. So it's very worth it. It's a very small, tight space, yet the environment is always relaxed. No yelling from the kitchen, nice TV, good ceiling fan coverage, and everyone typically talks quiet and I've never seen a baby while there. Of course you can just take the food to go too. Orders come with a free side salad, though I've never really been a big fan of it. It comes with a good blanket of parmasean cheese over it but is pretty bland over all. Recommend putting their green or red sauce on it. Speaking of the red and green sauce, that's their specialty I think. They're in bottles on every table and really good. Use as much as you want. They're pretty runny, yet they're full sauces and stick very well when dipping. Reminds me of taco bell sauce but even better. But yeah. Amazing place“
