Friends told us we would love this place and they were not wrong. Lively and welcoming atmosphere with a center courtyard replete with live music on a Sunday night. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. Atmosphere is fun but loud. Be aware if you are looking for a quiet spot. Our server (Morena?) was efficient and friendly. I had a fish of the day choice "Skamp" which was explained as a fattier, high end grouper. It was buttery and delicious. The most amazing thing was my snails appetizer in garlic sauce with grits. Unbelievable! Never had anything like it. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We will return. FYI - Parking is kind of a hassle but you can park on the side streets nearby.

SO GOOD! I got the grilled grouper with hollandaise sauce and it was so good. I’ll be back to try all of the other naked fish options. My husband liked the burger. Our server was really great and the atmosphere was fun. All of the servers were young pretty girls which was a little…odd? Whatever floats your boat I guess!

My jambalaya was overcooked. My wife liked the lobster roll. Good service very noisy hard to have table conversation. Pay to park and waited 20 minutes on a Thursday. Fried green tomatoes appetizer is the best. Been here many times... But will not be back

Owen's was recommended by a friend who travels to Sarasota often. The fish was great along with the sides...perfection. I sat at the bar. Made quick friends from other Midwestern parts! Margarita tasted like key like pie. I had the Wahoo-blackened with green tomato salsa, cheesy grits and collard greens. Every bite...yumm!!

My husband and I got to the Burns location after 4pm on a Wednesday afternoon. They have limited parking to the side of the building. A customer parked at such an angle no one could park to the left or the right. These were the last spots on the side of the building. Two cars could have parked there if the owner had parked as they should have. The girls at the front said they could not/would not find the owner to have this corrected. (the restaurant was not crowded yet and there was no line). They let me know there was free parking on Palm and Pineapple. So I let my husband know and he went to park. When I returned to get a seat, they said all parties had to be there and then they could seat us. I know they don't take reservations and I had to send my husband to find a parking space elsewhere since some patrons could not park correctly and then they say they can't seat me until he comes back? Okay...thankfully it was not crowded and there was no line. There is paid parking across the street. Owen's does not validate paid parking. Other customers are inconvenienced and people who are parking challenged are rewarded. We got seated when my husband came back. Our waitress was nice and prompt. The camp baskets were delicious. Food came out fast and was cooked perfectly. My suggestion is to go to the Lakewood Ranch location. Parking is better there.
