Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar

This is the first time we had a less than pleasant experience at Rocco's. The Esquites were cool, not even slightly warm. The queso dip was decent. My dining companions were okay with their meals (Shrimp Al Ajillo & Chicken Flautas). I decided to try the wings. I requested all flats (6 per order). I was told this was fine. The plate arrived with 1 flat and 5 drumettes. When I questioned it, the server told me it was someone else's oder. I declined to reorder as the service had already been seriously slow and everyone else was enjoying hot food. We are not in a hurry to go back.

Server Maddie was great but the food was disappointing. Lacking in flavor and gave me and my guest a stomach ache.

Service was absolutely awful. It took us 45 minutes to get our drink order from the time that we sat. We had to tell the hostess and then the waitress wasn't even apologetic. The service aspect was really bad probably will not be going back there anytime soon.

Rocco's was amazing! From the quality of the drinks and the amazing servers the food was excellent! Not to mention the amazing music they play! It's a beautiful setting for a great evening out with friends and family. I went for a date night with my husband and the service was amazing and fast! I will continue to visit Rocco's Tacos and recommend it to anyone that wants delicious guacamole and delicious drinks! Their espresso martini is probably the best one I've had in Srq!

The strawberry basil margaritas are fabulous. Pop in after shopping at UTC. Chips, margaritas and shopping = Best Day!

Second time here. First time, ordered tacos on corn tortillas. Received flour tortillas with cold meat. This time, ordered to quesadilla to play it safe. This was hands down the absolute worst quesadilla, if not worst food I have ever tasted. I couldn't even eat it. Don't let the cool interior fool you. This was an abomination. Will not give this place a third try...

Service was great, waiter was on point.

The chips and 3 salsas were great, the salsas are actually spicy and full of flavor.

The cocktails were also great!

The tacos we ordered were just not good. We ordered 4 tacos with corn tortillas and each tortilla was raw. Its as if the tortillas were not flipped on both sides. They were floppy and just not cooked all the way. Meat was so wet the tortillas were torn thru and we ended up just eating the taco meat with forks since the tortillas were inedible.

We had the best experience at the Roccos Tacos in Sarasota. Our waitress, Maddie was amazing. She was extremely friendly, and attentive. When we come back, we for sure would want to be in her section!

The food and drinks at this place were quite literally amazing!!!! BUT if you want your dining experience to be ruined by the service then this is what you might expect. My 6 friends and I came here for their happy hour and we had nothing but a terrible service experience. The restaurant has a bar and high top only happy hour, which is totally fine! We had to go up to a window and order with the bartenders, again totally fine. But the service behind the bar was nothing but being annoyed, rude and short with us. You can tell they were visibly upset and annoyed that we were at the window ordering for our high top, was very short with us and rude when ordering, also rolling their eyes at us. You can hear them and see them complain to eachother behind the bar about happy hour, wanting to leave, or anything else in front of customers making it extremely uncomfortable for the customers. Again the food was honestly so good and we loved it and would have absolutely stayed to have drinks and hangout but we felt so uncomfortable to order from the servers again that we just left to go get drinks somewhere else. Maybe order takeout or sit in the actual restaurant part instead of at the bar and high top section to avoid this issue - unless it was just a bad day for the servers and for that we can absolutely sympathize but regardless we did not feel welcomed and more of a nuisance to the staff than paying customers :/
