This is a wonderful restaurant. You can have a conversation and not have to shout. The food is delicious and the staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

Everything about the dining experience at Sage was phenomenal. It is a beautifully restored historic building with meticulous interior design. Chef Chris Covelli's menu offers many tempting options and all of our dishes were artfully presented and tasted delicious. The service was excellent, befitting of this fine dining experience. A delightful vocalist completed the ambience. We will dine at Sage any time we are in the Sarasota area.

Had a birthday dinner for a family member and Sage got us the best table in the house and our server was spectacular. Really had a good time Sage is our go to place because we know what we'll get and it's always great

Always a great meal, service and ambiance. One of the best dining destinations in Sarasota.

A beautiful place but a hard to converse across the table when music is playing. Service was excellent! The meats were yummy. But, oh these “buts”, the rest of our plates tasted like British boiled veggies. Tasteless, soggy and flavorless. At these prices everything should be yummy.

Always a pleasure dining at Sage, food and service are great, cocktails are excellent (thanks Courtney!) and the room is warm and inviting. Looking forward to our next visit

I had a friend in town and we booked several reservations hoping to find the elusive food and ambiance we wanted. As soon as we pulled up to the restaurant we knew we had found the needle in the haystack. Not just good but wonderful service, food was incredible, and ambiance was classy.

Quality throughout. The bouillabaisse is a must try, and the foie gras in always very good, too. Flavor combinations are well thought out and contemporary, if not cutting edge. This is near the upper end of Sarasota dining.

This was a reunion dinner with my best childhood friend growing up in Sarasota. It has been 30 years since we've seen each other because of life. Everything was perfect about the evening. Chris Covelli the chef and owner greeted us and made the evening very special. We had champagne toasts and then I had his signature dish, bouillabaisse, which was exquisite. The lamb albondigas as an appetizer was very tasty. We closed the restaurant simply talking and reminiscing and “catching up”. Lovely evening

Sage restaurant is an absolute gem! Chef owner Chris Covelli and his incredible team, collectively curate and deliver a dining experience that's nothing short of spectacular. The food is bursting with flavor, crafted with passion and creativity, while the warm, attentive service makes you feel like family. Every bite, every craft cocktail, the exceptional wine selection, and every moment at Sage is pure joy—highly recommend this culinary haven! Many thanks!

This is only our second visit to Sage, but it may become my new favorite restaurant. There were 4 of us and we each had an extraordinary meal. No other restaurant in town can describe the menus as well as your servers can. Service is just as outstanding as the food, and you can't beat the ambience!

We had a phenomenal dinner at sage last night! Our server Tim was excellent. I would recommend the chilean Seabass and definitely save room for the chocolate cake!

We 3 ladies chose to celebrate our birthdays at Sage and it did not disappoint. We loved it! Very elegant. Diners were dressed nicely and the cuisine was outstanding. I had the foie gras and the softshell crabs. Wow! Both were over the top! My friends had the arugula/onion tart and the pork - I had a taste of both - nice also but a little too much food for her and for me. Our waitress was outstanding - very attentive to our table - she had worked there for 6 years! When we didn't order dessert she was disappointed so she brought us 3 small glasses of champagne to toast our birthdays at no cost. This beautiful restaurant also has a roof top bar but it was closed for renovations on our visit. The downstairs bar had no seats so we had cocktails in the entrance area that had sofas and a wonderful tabletop art piece composed of sand and a moving ball. We went to our table on the mezzanine for dinner. My only objection is that the tables are all oblong so that you had to sit 2 on one side and one on the other side making the grouping off balance. You could not move a chair to be opposite the other two because of the stile running down the middle of the table. It would be nice to have a 4-top or booth so that odd numbers of diners could sit together in a balanced format, but it will not keep me from a return visit!

A lady from our RV resort recommended to us usually every year we go to shore in Saint Armands, which is closed, made the executive decision to age. It was beyond my expectations. The service was amazing. They did everything except wipe our lips. The food was outstanding and we met two couples we ended up Having the best time of our lives celebrating my husband 75th birthday. I highly recommend SAGE

The food and cocktails were excellent. And the service was very good. However, for this price restaurant we felt there should be nice table linens instead of plastic placemats. Also, I requested a nice/special table to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. But we were seated right in the middle of the restaurant which was very busy and very loud. For fine dining the atmosphere left a lot to be desired.
