Had lunch with 4 people on a Sunday afternoon. Waiter from the beginning had an attitude. Didn’t know what vegetables they were serving that day. Had a smart remark about their salmon when I asked about putting it on my eggs Benedict. Then because I guess we couldn’t order fast enough for him because he didn’t know anything about their menu he then just started waiting on all the tables around us putting in their orders before ours even though we were seated 1st and we’re waiting for him to come back to us. We waited almost an hour for our food to come out. We almost left the place hungry. When our food did come out the plates were warm but the food was lukewarm, so it seemed as though the plates were sitting back in the kitchen waiting to go out. Then, to make matters worse when the check comes they hand you the hand held credit card reader that only gives you buttons to push for a tip and the lowest is 20% and the waiter is right there looking at you making you feel obligated to tip for his poor service. Btw, omelette and salad was good, eggs Benedict classic and salmon was just “ok”. Gardens here are wonderful, but we’ll skip the restaurant. As a note, the waiter did come by after our food was delivered to apologize and nothing more, but that didn’t make up for our bad experience. Unfortunately, it really ended our wonderful day at the gardens on a bad note.

if as a poor European you're visiting the us its hard to find the good food given the abundance of fast food which is too greasy, too salty or way too sugary.here at the selby cafe we found excellent sandwiches. we had a salad and a sandwich with a teatrue its pricey, but its good taste you get for it

If you pull up the 1st menu on Google it's complex wrong, so make sure you have the correct one. I would wait a while to go so they can get the bugs out.

Pretty cool when you consider you are eating at the original home of the estate. The pizza and the grilled cheese both were great.

They don't know how to make a good latte coffee. Otherwise, very nice place.

How is MOE allowed serve such sub par food year after year?.. the gardens could do so much better. There is nothing creative or freshly made- the presentation is pathetic. The drink self serve area is always dirty and the ambiance is sad inside and the outside is in need of attention and refinement. I don’t get it - and the truck was even worse.MOE also owns the « ballroom » which needs a renovation. All so dated, frumpy and tired-

The menu is limited but tasty. The ladies at the counter were kind and professional. Good for a quick break from the garden visit.

Enjoying the Tiffany Exhibit was followed buy a very tasty lunch! I had Curried Cauliflower tacos and my daughter had the Chinese Chicken Salad. Delicious!!!
Good place to get a cool drink. the food has high prices for what you get.
This cafe is in the Selby’s house, inside the Selby Botanical gardens. The house was built by the Selbys in 1921 and became their residence. Upon her death in 1971, she willed it to be a botanical garden, which opened in 1975.The cafe has indoor and out seatings. Part of outdoor is on a terrace and part is under the huge tree. Dropping from the birds in the normal.Self service. Decent food, on the expensive side. $60 for a beer, a Chardonnay, a wrap and the Scottish salmon salad. The salad has baby kale, roasted Brussel sprouts, toasted walnuts, a few pieces of shredded parmesan, dried cranberries. The lemon champagne vinaigrette is delicious.
First of all, I’m not sure how to make a review for the food truck because it seems there is no page or website available for it. The food was good, but the skinny older man with a ponytail was EXTREMELY rude to every customer that ordered. He complained and cussed about customers to their face and also to the cook. He immediately had a nasty attitude with us and overheard a couple complaining about his attitude as well. “Legendary hospitality” is kind of a joke.
