I lived in South Korea for a year. This is the most authentic I’ve ever had in the states. The family is so friendly and makes being there very enjoyable. Everything is made to order. And the accommodate gluten free if you call a day in advance
It was my first time eating here tonight. I was introducing my friend to Korean cuisine and I have to say this sweet, welcoming restaurant didn’t disappoint. Our waitress was super sweet and service was excellent. I have always wanted to try Jjajangmyeom so we split it and it was everything I hoped it would be! So so good! The dolsot bibimbap was excellent too. I loved the banchan it was fresh and delicious. I would be tempted to gate keep this place but I want it to be around...
Hands down, Shilla has the best Korean food in Sarasota-Bradenton. Every dish is packed with flavor and made with love. This family owned and run restaurant is a little slice of Heaven. If you like spice, make sure to ask for full spice. If you can’t handle the heat, they will take care of that, too. If they are busy, think kind and be kind. There are three people total working in the restaurant. It takes time to make your delicious meal…and it is SO worth it! Grab some dumplings...
