Beautiful presentation however nothing extraordinary. Tastes like it may have been in the cooler awhile. Something happened to the marscapone layer making some kind of unpleasant gummy texture however in scraping that off I found the fingers to be moist but unfortunately not tasting the coffee and zero rum (however not all tiramisu has rum) definitely not worth $8!

Lovely cafe with delicious espresso and amazing gelato! It feels very homey and authentic as it's run by an Italian couple. Plenty of seating for a quick conversation, but fast WiFi if you're looking to get some work done. Definitely planning to return for an affogato.

Went in here for dessert and coffee. Inside the seating is pretty nice with a sofa in the front. The woman at the cash wasn't the friendliest. They have quite a bit of Italian desserts such as pistachio cheesecake and limoncello cake for $7 a piece, which i felt was pretty pricey. We went with the chocolate cake. It was not bad, just a little dry. We also got an espresso and it was good. They also have gelato and other pastries for sale here.

Friendly experience and really well made coffee and deserts. Main course is also really well done.

I went to Sweet Mom Italy when I was on vacation in Sarasota. The food was FANTASTIC. What really sold me was a pianist that started playing while I was grabbing a quick bite. I'm not sure if this pianist was affiliated with the restaurant, but if he was, please keep him coming. One of my favorite moments of the trip.

Love this place. Very authentic. Cannolis were amazing. Great customer service. Ask for a Latte with Nutella in it. Sooo good.

I was meeting friends who had just returned from Italy. I thought it'd be nice to meet here to catch up, talk about their trip, and enjoy a pastry. I was hoping to be impressed but it was just okay for me. It's a very cute little shop with comfy quaint seating. The pastries selection was quite limited on our visit. To be honest I didn't see anything I even wanted to try. I felt I needed to pick something, so I went with a cannoli. It was a disappointment. It was already filled and it was cold. The shell was very crunchy and thick, it fell apart as I ate it. My friends also picked cookies that were also just okay. I don't know ... I may try them again if someone else suggests. We are on a search for great bakeries in Sarasota. I've found others that are much more exciting.

Upon returning from Italy last week I have been on a quest to find the perfect cappuccino! The quest is over! Sweet Mom Italy has it. My daughter and I got to enjoy a nice treat tonight and we enjoyed our conversation with the owner. We will definitely be back, but not on Sunday.. because they are closed:)

A nice ending to the evening We stopped in almost by accident last night looking for gelato. I had not read reviews beforehand or I would have paid more attention to all the pasties in their display cases, my focus was in finding their gelato. At the end by the register we found it, a limited selection but certainly enough for us to pick something. It was also within an hour of closing, so the appearance was not that appealing. Still, all the choices were labeled, and I easily decided to try their Coffee flavor. We found a spot and only belatedly noticed it was one of a few tables with a table service sign. Fortunately, that did not trigger a need for us to move, and we relaxed to enjoy our cold treats. Loved the gelato, it was a nice ending to a meal that began someplace else. While we were talking and eating, we also became aware this small place had live entertainment, a pianist and singer who was playing what I would describe as show tunes. Great songs, nice surprise.

I stop by anytime I am downtown SRQ. The pastries and desserts are pricey but DELICIOUS! It is apparent they are hand-made and the owners take pride in their work. Will continue to come back for sure. ☺️

I love the espresso, tiramisu, gelato, and many other yummy treats. Weekend evenings join in with Italian singing!!!! The whole experience is both delicious and delightful...

The best tiramisu in my life. I am allergic to gluten, and it's practically impossible to find gluten free pastries in West Florida. Sweet Mom Italy cafe has nice selection of gluten free mini-cakes, and everything was very delicious. We enjoyed coffee, cakes, and a salad.

The best pistachio cheese cake I've ever eaten. Daydream about it sometimes. Like right now thinking about it, and decided to review. Highly recommend.
