Wish I could find Thai food like theirs closer to Lakewood Ranch, but every time I’m craving a great Pad Thai or Pad Woon Sen, I have to drive all the way to Gulf Gate for a night at Thailand (or anytime I’m down that way I try to have lunch here). I’ve been enjoying their meals since 2005 and they still never disappoint.
Tasty food, generous portions, reasonable prices. Elaborate booths. Relaxed service was friendly and efficient. Small staff easily handled the light crowd. Default spice is mild, but they will increase heat on request. Ingredients are fresh and flavors excellent. They have nigori sake.
Old style ornate Thai with partly curtained booths obviously loved by regulars. The wonton soup full of fresh vegetables, home broth and full of beautiful fresh vegetables was a star surprise. The watery broth in the vegetable pork looked boring as 1950’s chop suey, but in one bite was yet another healthy surprise of flavors that surpass the usual strip mall Chinese bottled sauce of excess oil and salt.
