Had lunch at Vernona Gourmet and ordered the stuffed cabbage — and wow, it stuffed me right into a food coma (in the best way possible)! Perfectly seasoned meat and rice wrapped in tender cabbage, basically a hug from Hungary on a plate. If you leave hungry, that’s on you!

I had another perfect lunch at Vernona Gourmet! This time I tried the Brassói, and it was fantastic. The tender, perfectly seasoned pork, golden potatoes, and fresh spices created a rich, hearty flavor that reminded me of true Hungarian home cooking. Excellent service and cozy atmosphere as always. Delicious authentic Hungarian cuisine made by a genuine Hungarian family. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The menu options were all reasonably priced. The breakfast menu looks good too, and we can’t wait to try it sometime soon. The only thing I would change is to have an explanation of what the desserts are because they are not familiar names. We got a spouse cake with chocolate filling with a caramelized sugar glaze on the top. It was sensational for only $8! We will definitely be back!
