Yummy House China Bistro Sarasota

Fyi - 10/25/25 under renovation so only carry outs. Was told renovation will take a month or so.

Ordered through uber eats, there must be a low standard for Chinese food here in Sarasota. The chicken lo-mein smells like dirty feet. The so called egg rolls were tiny with not much of anything but air inside and the sweet and sour chicken was not so tasty either. Looked decent, but not much flavor.

This restaurant is temporarily closed because it’s being fumigated for having an infestation of pests. 9/30/25 was the fumigation, still seeing rats and roaches in the back parking lot Post treatment. Would stay away unless you like “extra protein” in your food.

Wherever I come across a Michelin restaurant, I'll definitely go and try it out. To earn the Michelin star, everything from the restaurant's ambiance to the quality of its food and service must undergo rigorous scrutiny…

When a friend told me about this restaurant, I first looked it up online. Wow! The website’s videos and description had so many awards and Michelin accolades… awesome!

Here I am, and I'm disappointed! This isn't how it's supposed to be.

A simple screen, with many tables leaning against it on the inside and many crooked and simple Chinese folding chairs leaning against it on the outside. Sitting next to the screen, I was really worried that it would fall over...

If you have ever eaten authentic Chinese Cantonese food, you would think that this kind of food is just to satisfy your hunger.

The Shanghai dumplings had no broth or flavor... the sweet and sour pork was mostly pepper-based...

There are fast food restaurants like this everywhere. Don't trust the website's promotion too much. I won't come back again.

Always great. The food is not salty or oily. The Dim Sum menu offers a wide selection with no bad choices. Fast friendly service. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Lots of parking. This place is a real gem. Nothing like it within 50 miles.

The best Chinese restaurant in Sarasota County. Good appetizers, soup and entrees. Excellent and polite service. Decor both indoor and outdoor needs updating.

We had a surprise birthday celebration and the manager Ben was accommodating to our plans, giving good suggestions too. We are thankful Anisley and her team did a wonderful job with our group. We'll be back soon for more dimsum!

My friend and I ate at Yummy House today. I have always heard wonderful things about this place. We ordered the salt and pepper wings and they were great. From there; all down hill. When we got our wings we ordered our main dishes. We got vegetable fried rice, Mongolian beef, and spicy Szechwan chicken. We received our main dishes before we even finished one wing. That makes me feel like the food is prepared ahead of time. Definitely not a fresh food feeling. The fried rice was bland. The Mongolian beef was fair and my dish; the spicy Szechwan chicken was horrible. Why on earth do you call something spicy when there is no spice at all and not a great deal of flavor? I’ve had that take out Chinese that had more flavor. The biggest disappointment I’ve had eating out in a very long time. Would never recommend to anyone.

Kung Po was served without rice. Had to flag a waitress down & ask. I was brought a small bowl of rice and she disappeared for the rest of the meal.

Finished eating a half hour ago. Waitresses still nowhere in site. Someone took the order of two tables around us and still haven't come back.

Completely inattentive and food tastes like it was microwaved.

Updating a previous review. We were a group of 8. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food. Portions are large. Everyone had leftovers. I want to especially commend our server, Carolina. Very attentive and a pure delight. When we return, we will ask for her.

Used to love the is place for dim sum. Last few times a bit off but today, bad. Everything tasted old. Dumplings dried out, had the shumai, buns, and other dumplings. left a lot on the table which I never do. Disappointed but for me three strikes...Service is always pretty good but I always eat at the bar..

If you have ever been to Yummy house in Tampa- do not go to this yummy house. You will be very disappointed. Chicken fried rice tasted and smelled like canned chicken. Sweet and sour chicken was half refried- did we get lunch leftovers recooked? Noodles were bland. I feel like I could throw up after taking a few bites here and it’s disappointing because we ordered a lot planning on taking leftovers home. Ended up leaving full plates on the table. Only writing this because the owner has to know what they are doing and is cutting corners to save money. I don’t feel bad for leaving one star because there is no way you are not aware of the slop you serve. Waitress was great, food was atrocious.

Very accommodating. Came in close to closing. Food was good. More vegetables than meat though. Overall experience was good.
