Captain Butchers Seafood Grill & Bar

First time eating here and it didn’t disappoint. We sat outside under the bar canopy facing the water. Great view and breeze, very relaxed for a Tuesday night. We started with a dozen Oyster Rockefeller. My wife and I split the raw bar combination platter. It was plenty of food for two people. Some of the best boiled shrimp I’ve had in a restaurant. They were plump and moist, not overcooked in the least, which so many restaurants can’t seem to get right.

The raw oysters and ceviche were on point and the sushi poke bowl was absolutely fantastic. The only “meh” portion of the platter was the fish dip. The fish was smoked nicely, but it was on the dry side. Tasty but I like my fish dip more creamy than dry—- just a personal preference.

We finished the meal off with a piece of the key lime pie. Well done!

I have nothing but PRAISE for SEBASTIAN SALTWATER MARINA RESTAURANT. My husband and I had our August 10th wedding reception canceled by another venue the DAY BEFORE our wedding! We contacted Angelika the hostess at SEBASTIAN SALTWATER and she immediately contacted manager Chris. Chris was wonderful and assured us that we would be accommodated. We went by the restaurant and the room they had for us was perfect for the amount of people. The next day was the wedding and I can only sing praises… The food was excellent and the management and entire wait staff service phenomenal! Highly recommended!!!! THANK YOU SEBASTIAN SALTWATER For making our day so special and taking care of our friends and family !

Excellent service and food! We had 26 family members who enjoyed a delicious dinner! I made arrangements with Chris, the manager and was able to reserve the back banquet rooms, which allowed all of us to visit and talk and have our own space. Our waitress, Mindy was fantastic! All orders came out right and even splitting the bills was an easy process. She was very attentive and fun! She got the kids food ordered right away while the adults were ordering cocktails, which satisfied the kids! The bartender, V checked in on us throughout the dinner! Everybody raved about the food… conch fritters, peel and eat shrimp and smoked fish dip kicked off the night just right! Great place for a special occasion! Excellent service and staff!

Not Capt Butchers anymore. New owners. Great location but never knew you would get charged for extra condiments (cocktail sauce) not to mention no hush puppies or Gator tail even available. Overpriced for the portions served.

It was an amazing day to have dinner at a restaurant overlooking the river, and Saltwater Grill (formerly Butcher's) is one of favorite places to do just that. Their Islemorada Chicken sandwich is my favorite dish, and never disappoints. Good food, great service, reasonable prices, and outdoor dining at it's best. Who can ask for anything better!
