Crab Stop of Sebastian - Seafood Restaurant

No surprise to me this place is now posted temporarily closed very poor experience for a beautiful on the water restaurant I hope some one can reopen it and bring nice seafood restaurant back

They even let people solicit you for money AT YOUR table ( just to turn around and ask you AGAIN when you walk outside. (Because he didn’t recognize you not even 5 minutes later)

They have a great view! But not much else. Out of half of the menu and slow and poorly prepared what they do have. From walking in the door it was slow almost empty 230pm i saw a server and a bartender on the way to the patio said hi to both neither acknowledged us in any way..! Odd but we find a table plenty as only 1 other table with guest’s after a few minutes go to bar to order a drink and bartender says shes coming and drops off menus. Server comes 8 minutes later gets drinks and appetizer order 20 minutes later shrimp arrived she asks if we want to order lunch. We did but not here! A few other tables arrived as we were there but never busy but 54 minutes total for an appetizer water and iced tea and it was luke warm when it arrived and in a blah (think sweet chili sauce) nobody was friendly or seemed happy to be there when i told the server it was my wife’s birthday she said oh! Not even a happy birthday. Its on the water see dolphins is nice but jeez at least act like you care!

We chose this place because if the reviews to only then be very disappointed. As the name states you would expect that you would be able to get crab...but they were out of most of their crab choices. They were out of so many things that I almost wanted to ask them what they did have. The food was adequate but nothing to rave about. The service was a little slow but still ok. I usually don't do to many reviews but I think people need to know what they should expect.

We came in optimistic because of the good reviews! Unfortunately this turned into the worst dinner I’ve ever had. The restaurant was out of crab cakes, then out of fried clams, and judging by what we overheard, steadily working its way toward being out of literally everything.

The fish & chips we did receive was a masterclass in how many wrong textures can exist on one plate. It was slimy, chewy, and soggy all at once. Service matched the food: staff appeared high, disengaged, and disinterested in working despite the place being nearly empty. The vibes were weird, it was quiet, nearly empty, and the lighting was haunting. We will not be coming back.

I came into this restaurant excited to eat some fresh sea food with my family and enjoy our night at the beach. My expectation plummeted when the hostess gurgled out that we could not sit outside even though there were several open tables outside . We were then greeted by a snarky waitress who informed us that they did not have crabcake, crab, and almost everything else we wanted . Did I mention the restaurant is called “crab stop “? I order the fish and chips , thinking …. There’s no way they could mess this up. Boy I was wrong . I bite into the fish and I tasted a rubbery, soupy , and mushy fish….. no I’m not describing my feces. We all counted the time until we could leave . We left to go eat some homemade burgers …. My girlfriend wanted to kill me for picking this place.

I was really excited based on the 4.4 star reviews, but unfortunately this was one of the worst dinners I’ve ever had. They were out of a ton of things (including crab cakes). The fried fish was inedible - soggy and seemed like it was frozen before serving which is disappointing. The staff was not super friendly and the atmosphere in general was off. We left to go home and eat leftovers … the food is not good and I would not go unless some serious changes are made :(

Had high hopes of this place due to 4.4 Google ratings. The restaurant bathrooms and general area needs TLC and wait staff area is cluttered.

The snow crab and shrimp need less butter and more seasoning. The bill for lunch was over $120 for 4 and a child, we all left hungry and went to Wendy’s after.

The guy who served us was super nice. -‘feel bad leaving this rating but hopefully management will invest downtime into the restaurant and recheck the way the food is prepared.

The place is a hidden gem. Incredible view, our server Leah was so nice, and the food rocked.

Understaffed and didn't have a lot of items due to holiday and not getting a truck. What we did have was good, and the staff was cheerful despite the obvious struggles. Just wait a week or so after any major holiday, and you should enjoy your visit with no problems !

This was a delivery by door dash.
They charged me $70+. I ordered the Dungeness Crab, fries, and hush puppies basket. It was the worst meal ever! The Dungeness Crab was tiny, the fries were limp, and the hush puppies basket was missing. I texted the restaurant and explained to him that the hush puppies were missing. It took him about 5 min to come back. He said that the hush puppies ran out. Nobody had the decency to contact me to explain the situation. Even Christi the door dash driver did not tell me that one item was unavailable.
I will never order anything from this restaurant, they don’t know what they are doing.
I paid a lot of money and I did not enjoy any bite.
Beware, these people charge a lot and the food is mediocre.

I know we came on a Saturday night but still.. the theme should: all the seasoning is only on the outside. My husband and I both lived in New Orleans, we ate good there. I was so excited for crawfish. Not only were they boiled to a point of liquid goo, they tasted like bad fish. We sent them back. I got the shrimp basket instead. And again, seasoning on the outside. Once you peel off the shell, its like biting into water. No flavor whatsoever. We should've figured something was up when everyone around us was eating wings. 3 waitresses is not enough. And as hard as it was to get a drink, the waitress charged us for an extra drink. They fixed it but it was just one more thing..The band was good. Definitely not coming back.
