“It was amazing, I asked the gas clerk how the food was and he recommended the fried rice with chicken. I have to say it smelled yummy and when I got home and had some it was amazing. Love trying new places to eat and love helping the community. Go try them out. Friendly service as well.“

“If you’re looking for an amazing spot for fresh ceviche, this is the place we’ve gone here a couple times and every single time it is spot on it is hot fresh delicious the service except is exceptional and the restaurant is super cute and authentic. I would say out of all the Peruvian ceviche places in Sarasota County. This one would be considered the more expensive one, but definitely worth every single penny.“

“I wasn’t too familiar with Peruvian food besides tamales, so I kept it simple in effort to try something new. If you can truly cook..the simplest dishes will feed your soul. The fish was soo fresh. Being from Miami, I can always tell if my seafood is freshly caught or frozen. Everything was made to perfection. The sauces they give you add soo much flavor to an already complete meal. Authentic food that can be easily explained to help you find your perfect match for your tummy. I went back days later,& yum yum. My server Ricky was so awesome answering all of my questions. I can’t wait to come back for the ice cream. They were out of it today, but they make an ice cream from a local Peruvian fruit. Sounds so yummy. The food was very reasonably priced. I will be back with my son. He is going to love it here. I spent $25,& could not finish my food. I had plenty for later😊“

“Inkawasi has became a favorite of ours. Every time we walked by since moving here a couple years ago we’d remind ourselves to try it. Once we did, we wish we went sooner! Always fresh, delicious & great gluten friendly options. After another amazing meal tonight I promised myself I’d write a review. Perfect meal from the sangria to a surf & turf special with the best fire roasted veggies & we shared the passion fruit pudding for dessert. And our server was amazing! Can’t say enough about it, we’ll be back soon!“

“We just happened upon El Ceviche and with knowledge that ceviche was invented in Peru and I hadn't had it in a long time, we ventured in with no recommendation from anyone. What a find! Best shrimp ceviche ever! My husband ordered a beef dish, Lomo Saltado and said it was delicious. Peruvian corn was a real treat. This is on my Best Of list! Go. Eat. Enjoy.“

“Love Selva Grill! Our server, Eric, was delightful, pace was perfect as we were going to Van Wezel and made it happen. Our food was delicious, wish I had brought home my leftovers for today. Plus, the presentation was amazing! You have artists in the kitchen! We will be back!“

“We ordered a two types of ceviche and the crab cakes. The ceviche was okay but not superb like of their places I’ve visited. The crab cake was delicious though. Our server was very attentive and kind and the atmosphere very quiet and peaceful during the afternoon.“

“I was in the area on a work trip and one of my co-workers recommended me visiting Siesta Village while here. After watching the sunset and very quick search of best places to eat near me, I decided to stop at The Cottage. Best decision I made. First the host didn't treat me any differently when I said I was dining alone. She was friendly and took me to a nice spot so I could listen to the live music. Then Cecelia....she was an absolute gem. Incredibly friendly and did NOT steer me wrong when I was stuck between ordering the Lobster Maki Sushi or the Seared Scallops. Based on her recommendation, I went with the Lobster Maki Sushi and it was the best decision. The flavors and mix of lobster with the shaved teriyaki tenderloin with just the right amount of char smoke was perfect...I cleaned my plate. But before that, I started with a bowl of the lobster bisque. I have eaten a lot of lobster bisque...it's one of my favorite soups. BUT the lobster bisque at The Cottage was one of the BEST I've ever had....certainly my absolute favorite! And on top of the amazing Cecelia and sweet host, I was checked in on by a wonderful woman who asked how I was, what I ordered, how I enjoyed everything...just made me feel so welcomed and at home...which helps a lot when you're stuck eating out alone. I didn't even know she was the GM until the very end when she introduced herself to me and we shared how I have a bracelet to follow a sea turtle and she has one to follow an elephant. If you haven't tried The Cottage yet, go now! I wish I was here longer so that I can go back again before leaving, but I'll make sure to be back next time I'm in town. In the meantime, I'll dream about that lobster bisque (and my delicious Mango Mule with Tito's).“
