“Absolutely delicious, authentic, and incredible Peruvian food. Ken was our host and spoke with so much passion about the menu, it was very contagious. The Fish Ceviche is to die for, and by far our favorite kind of ceviche. We got the Pescado a lo Macho and Seco de Carne. The yellow pepper sauce for the Pescado was perfectly balanced with flavor and the slightest sweetness. The Seco de Carne was perfection, the beef and beans had been slow cooked for hours and melted in my mouth.I usually go for Lomo Saltado (get Lomo if you haven’t had Peruvian before) but wanted to branch out more and this was the perfect alternative. We also tried the Suspiro, which is a small sweet dessert that’s a Peruvian favorite.Overall an amazing experience, I wish I had a second stomach to just keep on eating but I was scared I’d burst if I had any more. We will for sure be back!“
“If I could I would give it 10 stars. We are visiting for the week but I am from Peru and was so excited to find this gem. If we were local we would absolutely be regulars. Wonderful service and the food was an experience out of the world. It’s been a few years since I have been to Lima and that ceviche took me right back. Beautiful! Delicious!!“
“I recently had lunch at Maemi Peruvian Restaurant, and I must express my utmost satisfaction with the exceptional culinary experience. As a Peruvian, I deeply appreciated the authenticity of the food, which transported me back to the flavors of Peru.??The attention to detail in crafting traditional dishes was evident, showcasing the chef's dedication to preserving the essence of Peruvian cuisine. The ceviche was a standout, bursting with freshness and a perfect balance of flavors. Additionally, the Lomo Saltado demonstrated a mastery of technique, highlighting the chef's culinary expertise. While the food undoubtedly deserves commendation, I'd like to offer a constructive suggestion for improvement. The restaurant could benefit from a revamp of its promotional strategies and an update to its overall ambiance. A subtle enhancement in these aspects could attract a broader audience and elevate the overall dining experience. In delivering this feedback, please convey my sincere appreciation for the delightful culinary journey Maemi provided. I look forward to witnessing the continued success of this establishment and its contribution to the promotion of Peruvian cuisine.Vegetarian options: Papa a la Huancaina, Yucas, Tacu TacuKid-friendliness: Unpretentious atmosphere, accommodating staff and non hazardous ⚠️“
“Portions are HUGE and FRESH! The server was very friendly, and we started with a fresh squeezed lemonade, and some house made chicha morada. Yum! I ordered a half salad (which came on an entree plate), my sister had a half soup (at least 12 oz) both were fresh, and flavorful. She had the ceviche mixto and I had the pescado lo macho. We should have ordered only one entree, but both were outstanding. The ceviche was firm and mild ( fish, shrimp, bay scallops, crab ....) dressed with a lovely lime and spice leches. My fried fish was covered in a seafood-packed sauce, that would make an amazing bisque! The bill was a bit high for a lunch, fine for dinner, and considering we'll get another meal out of it, still a bargain! Recommend!“

“The atmosphere is vibrant and chic, perfect for a night out. The food is a culinary masterpiece, with every dish bursting with flavor and artfully presented. Service is top-notch, attentive without being intrusive. Definitely the go-to spot in Sarasota for an unforgettable dining experience. Can't wait to go back!“
“Some of the best plantains I've had in years! The cancha at the beginning is so good, honestly worth the visit alone. The restaurant is a little unassuming and slightly outdated and cheaper feeling but the food is 10/10 worth it! Servers are super attentive and quick. Honestly some of the best Peruvian food I've had in a long time. Will visit again!“
“I stopped by a few weeks ago with a friend and we ordered fish ceviche and it was delicious! I'm very hesitant to eat raw fish like sushi (sashimi) and even though ceviche is not raw I'm still hesitant because in my Greek culture we eat everything well done lol. The ceviche was so fresh and the "leche de tigre" was so flavorful and I wasn't even slightly concerned. The lady who served us was also very sweet and gracious and the atmosphere is very beautiful. I will definitely stop in again when I'm in Sarasota! Thank you so much!“
“Food was excellent and beautifully presented but service was definitely lacking. We arrived at 5:00 and the restaurant was empty. We started with the beef empanadas and they were excellent. Flaky and flavorful in a delicious sauce. Even though we were the only people in the dining room we had to keep looking for our waiter and ask the assistant to send him over. We chose the lamb rack and curry swordfish for our entrees. Again, the presentations were beautiful and food was very flavorful. The chive risotto was also very good and cooked perfectly. My wine glass was empty and I wasn’t asked if I wanted another until almost done with my entree. This should not happen when it’s slow. I will definitely return because of the food, but sincerely hope service improves.“
“El Patio Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Peru with its diverse menu. Although the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the Peruvian cuisine, particularly the delicious chaufa and invigorating leche de tigre, ensures a satisfying dining experience. On the other hand, I did not like the anticuchos. They were a little tough for beef heart. Other than that, I highly recommend for those craving Peruvian fare and a cozy atmosphere.“
“It was amazing, I asked the gas clerk how the food was and he recommended the fried rice with chicken. I have to say it smelled yummy and when I got home and had some it was amazing. Love trying new places to eat and love helping the community. Go try them out. Friendly service as well.“
