“Our group of thirteen dined here today to celebrate two birthdays, seated at two tables. We spent close to $800, and I have to say — the food was exceptional and our server was outstanding. The staff provided warm and attentive service that truly stood out. Unfortunately, what should have been a joyful celebration was tainted by the behavior of the new ownership. A gentleman, who appeared to be part of the new management team (a man in his early forties), sat and later stood in different areas of the restaurant, repeatedly glancing at our group — the only African American party in the establishment — as if we were out of place. At no point did he acknowledge our tables or the two ladies whose birthdays we were celebrating. Yet, he made a point to warmly engage with non-Black patrons seated at the bar. The contrast was noticeable and deeply disappointing. In 2025, it’s disheartening that anyone still needs to be reminded that the color of money is green, and respect should not be selective. We value ourselves, our experiences, and where we choose to spend our hard-earned money. While the food was phenomenal, the lack of respect and basic acknowledgment from ownership left a lasting negative impression. We will not be returning, and I truly hope the new owner learns that real hospitality includes treating every guest with dignity and appreciation — not just those who resemble him. #Disappointed“

“Stayed here on an overnight, hadn't been in 10 years, and I had forgotten the quaint atmosphere of this place. Combined with good food and great friendly service, it's a great stop in St Petersburg whether you stay at the hotel or not. Some good daily specials, for both food and drink. Again came face to face with NAM (which stands for Not A Moose, from what I overheard! He's a caribou!) who overlooks the bar. This place is worth a visit if you've never been here!“
“Loving our stay here in a spacious suite. I have slept better here than I have in years! We had dinner out in the courtyard. The redfish was locally sourced and delicious. The soft shell crab was very good according to my friend. It’s a quirky place to stay, but very well run. Love the breakfast delivered in the morning.“

“Had lunch there today. Food was excellent and more than I could eat. Service was fast and friendly. They had a turkey, dressing. mashed potatoes, and corn lunch plate that also came with soup or salad for $10.95. Literally enough food for two meals. I brought half of it home for later. “If you’re sleeping on Harvey’s, you’re missing out on a St. Pete legend. I waited waaaaay to long to visit! Service? Next level, they are super attentive and rad! Bacon cheeseburger? “Had the chicken quesadilla and French fries. The quesadilla has sliced pickled jalapenos inside with tender pulled chicken and cheese, so if you're not a fan of the peppers, keep that in mind when ordering. It came with sour cream and salsa, and i ordered a side of guac. The fries are just okay. My husband ordered the fried Grouper sandwich and onion rings which he says were pretty good, but not outstanding and my adult son said the same about his grilled Grouper sandwich which was a pretty small filet. We're all natives, so we're picky about our seafood. They had bottled and canned beverages and some beers on tap, no fountain drinks or fresh brewed ice tea. I wish they had regular lemonade because the sugar-free lemonade was overly sweet and fake tasting. The staff was friendly, service was good, and the place appeared to be pretty clean, including the bathroom. Overall, a decent little local spot, but a little on the pricey side.“

The rooms were comfortable and the hotel amenities made the trip a breeze! With a restaurant, bar, and coffee shop on site we didn’t have to go far to have a great time! “OMG!! You have to go to this tiny jewel of a restaurant. We brought in our fresh catch of Spanish Mackerel from our charter. (Must make arrangements ahead of time) Chef Chris surprised us with an unbelievable work of visual art food presentation and extraordinary flavor fusion!! The owner, Jim, is most accommodating. You also have meet Zoey, who’s outstanding wait skills and personality will have you smiling throughout the entire experience.“

“My son, mom and I stopped in for an early dinner after my son's basketball game. This was our 1st time here and we absolutely loved the food. I highly recommend the "Cool ranch rider" has a nice kick to it the only thing I did differently was ranch instead of mayo and banana peppers instead of hot peppers. My son had the "Turkey bacon" minus onion and tomato as well as sub the mayo for ranch he absolutely loved it!! My mom got the "Roast Beast" loved hers as well!! We decided to try the Lemon Blueberry cheesecake, it too was delicious!! We will definitely be back!! The ladies that helped us with our order were super sweet and made us feel very welcomed!! Loved the vibe. Reggae music playing as well, just overall a great place!! We were at the 3rd Avenue location for reference!!“
