Comfort Food Restaurants near Spring Hill, FL

“I cant say I don't recommend but it's either yes or no. My husband ordered steakburger and loved it. Their biscuits are the best. I ordered Chicken Tenders, Frys, Coleslaw. Frys were undercooked. The Tenders overcooked, just a tad less than burnt. Called Waitress, at first she was ok and said order something else because this is how we have to cook them. I ordered a turkey club to go. I asked for something to put my Coleslaw in. she then rudely told me I couldn't have it. I asked her if she wanted my Biscuit and Frys. She said no. I should have paid for the Burger and left. Why were my Tenders crusted with reminds of hash browns? Why were home frys scattered in our frys? I'm guessing Chicken is being cooked with frys, home frys and hash browns. 🤔 Waitress should have been nicer. My goodness, I didn't burn my Tenders, you're throwing Coleslaw away, would it have been so horrible to say for the inconvenience, I'll be happy to get you a container. I seriously thought I was switching the Tenders for the Sandwich.“

“I arrived just around 4pm on a Saturday and there was already a wait starting to build at the hostess stand. Since I was willing to take a high-top, however, I was seated immediately.

After getting settled, Shannon came over and introduced herself as my server, took my drink order, and asked if I wanted their (legendary) complementary croissants, which I declined. Shannon returned quickly with my drink, and since I already knew what I wanted, I placed my order for a chicken tenders platter (with fries and broccoli as my two sides) and a side salad to start.

Within just a few minutes, my salad was brought to the table. The salad was basic, with the usual ingredients - greens, carrot strings, cherry tomatoes, croutons, cheese. Everything tasted fresh and crispy and I really don't have much more to say about the salad.

Shortly after finishing my salad, my entree was delivered. Everything was as expected and did not disappoint. The broccoli was nicely seasoned and steamed to perfection. The fries crispy but may have been a tad too salty for my taste. The chicken tenders (five in total) were perfect - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Owing to Cheddar's usual generous portions I was able to bring half the meal home as leftovers.

Shannon was a great server - friendly, attentive, and (important for me) quick on the soda refills.

If you are in the mood for good sized portions of quality comfort food at a reasonable price, don't sleep on Cheddar's. They are worth a visit.“
